Yes I watch him. Rogers has an issue with temperament, often booked out of frustration, he lacks with pass accuracy, although its getting better. What Rogers has though, is a desire to be the best, he has incredible physical qualities, and in the big games, he's shown he can be a real handful. Vs low blocks, he has what Arsenal fans think Eze has, the ability to take the ball on the half turn in tight spaces and open up the game. He's moved above Eze for England.
And you don’t think the club wouldn’t have preferred to sign him ahead of Eze? We wouldn’t have been able to sign him for 65M you know.

That’s why I’m not really sure what your end goal is here. 8/10 posters would sign Rogers ahead of Eze if money wasn’t the issue.

1. Because people cooked me in the summer for saying Rogers is better. Hell, they cooked me for saying Eze is no better than Trossard.

2. The club didn't need to sign both Eze and Madueke. Do you think Ethan has had good minutes this season? Is what Eze and Madueke are doing much better?

3. Point is, we spent 200m on our attack and it isn't any better.

If both he and Ode are struggling, it might not be the players…
Both are too deep. They have 6 players behind them. Does Foden play that deep?
The one time Eze played near the 18 he almost scored 4.

Its our tactics.

Rewatched first half.

Eze was easily our best player in that half, and the only reason to pull him was he didn’t want Ødegaard to feel bad since he is the captain. Big, big mistake by Arteta.

He could have put Rice at 6 and shifted Eze left 10 to accommodate Ødegaard since Zubi was our worse player of the half( Martinelli a close second). Zubi slowed everything down and didn’t attempt to create anything.

When Arteta rewatches the match, Eze will solidify his position as starting 10.

If Arteta was brave he would have brought on Ethan and shift Eze left. The quickness and willingness to go forward by both of these players would have been a major problem for Wolves.

I thought Eze could offer those same qualities, along with a better shooting range. We saw that last season during Palace’s FA Cup run. Rogers has talent, but he’s still inconsistent and I think he’ll struggle like Eze now adapting to our possession-based style, especially in the build-up phases.

Honestly, I’d rather we continue developing Nwaneri and Dowman and look for the next Nasri or Cazorla on the cheap. This is the Wenger way, the Arsenal way.

He's scared of giving the ball away it's obvious. He's been impacted by the Arteta effect. I'm happy for him to try something and give it away rather than play it side ways.

Why have four CBs playing in Defence and then Rice and still have the players ****ting themselves to give it away.
yepp

that is what i am thinking when i watch him at arsenal, he barely take a risk in tight space

Like Gyokores he's having to adapt to a style of play much different than what they were used to in their previous team and neither has had to deal with this sort of constant low block we constantly face (CL games aside). It makes sense they have both struggled at times. I'm hopeful both get into proper flow in the new year.

I don’t think Rogers was the better player than Eze last summer, it’s well up for debate but think the consensus may have been against you there. Regardless it makes no sense to compare a settled Rogers in a flying Villa team to a still adapting Eze who doesn’t even have a fixed position for us yet.

Also Trossard has been better than Saka this season and you’d have been cooked if you said that in the summer. I don’t think there’s any point in making these mid-season comparisons particularly when they involve new signings who are adapting.

Again, new signings, still gelling etc. The club decided to go for a high floor approach to winning the title. I personally would have signed one less player overall and turned a Gyokeres into an Isak/Ekitike but if you look at the injuries we’ve had my strategy may have backfired already.
3. Point is, we spent 200m on our attack and it isn't any better.
Yet.

Well well well....

Gyokeres name and DP, I shouldn't be surprised by the lack of ball knowledge. Time for a new sport.

Eze showed at Palace, with more space; he's just as capable.

Overrall I'd still say Eze is better because he won Palace the cup. Rogers has improved lots though

IMO it has looked better than last srason for sure. We also had to rotate some big injuries in attack and still came out of it on top in league and CL. We dont do that without our new attackers.

Our attack has taken a bit dent in form this season after Ødegaard came back but AM not ready for that discussion.

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal was firmly embedded in the local community and had a very solid, working-class foundations. The fans espoused the club's values. This visceral attachment, from childhood, to a club and a team is something I have never seen anywhere else with such fervour. Every fan's first match at Highbury was like a baptism.
