That's exactly what i was thinking. Only player that would suit that description would be Josh Nichols?
Yeah, but no offence to the kid. I don’t see them asking for him in a deal like this. They can probably sign him for 1-2 million

Arteta bent backwards to try to convince our club to sign Calafiori when nobody agreed, if he really wanted a striker that badly he would have done the same.
You really think after kai got injured with Jesus on the sidelines already and even Saka not available, Arteta wasn't pushing to get a striker in? That he would rather try a midfielder (Merino) up front than push for a striker? Fair enough if you believe that but I find that extremely unlikely.

This is gonna be hard for people to accept but I really don’t think Arteta generates our targets apart from the odd exception (Calafiori)

I think they get run past him for approval.

Otherwise… how do you explain how we’re about to land Gyokeres?
Gyokeres is a Berta target. Sesko is what Arteta wants. Notice the articles saying that Arteta has "accepted" Gyokeres and wants him to be signed asap for pre-season.

I believe previously our team just sat there and no one was strong enough to say no to Tet. Many names suggested was overruled by him and probably Edu stopped trying/prepared to leave as he didn't want to sit there and be a puppet DOF.

I thought Palace lined up Diomande to replace Guehi? Doubt they want Kiwior
They tried but seems like Sporting valuation is 30-40 mil more than what Palace are prepared to offer. If I am not mistaken reliable journalists already reported this broke down.

Getting Eze is great and everything, but moving Kiwior on as part of the deal allows us to go for Hato guys!!
You are taking the piss , but I am all for selling Kiwior and getting Hato as a backup of MLS and converting Calafiori as a LCB who will run less there and hopefully stay fit.

It's Josh Nichols for sure. He's one of the few prospects outside of the main group that Arteta actually rates - even higher than Rosiak, who seems poised to leave. It'd be somewhat disappointing but I don't think it's gonna be anything to be too sad about if he goes. Nichols is promising, plays both full-back positions and is quite a versatile defender overall, but his ceiling is probably below where we'd like an Arsenal RB to be.

He'll probably get replaced by Theo Julienne (another CM turned RB but very promising aswell) or one of Clarke, Hamill and Salmon.

Palace don't need an 18 year old defender that is far from ready for first team football.

And the tweet says a handful of games. Don't think 1 app counts as a handful

It can't really be anybody else tbh. Maybe Maldini Kacurri as he's been on loan already but think the Kiwior shouts are quite a way off as he's played a bunch of games.

Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
He'll miss too much football for them IMO.
isn't he already back to training? him missing too much football sadly is always going to happen but i can't see we can offer them other players Vieira can't see him going there Zinny too.

Arsenal Quotes

In June 1996, David Dein, Peter Hill-Wood and Danny Fiszman came out to Nagoya to meet me on behalf of Arsenal. Within an hour we came to an agreement. The Japanese directors didn't try to keep hold of me in the usual way but talked with persuasive arguments... But as far as I was concerned, the decision was taken. Arsenal. A decision that would change my life.
