A loan is not the worst idea, I feel he can score 15+ goals in Ligue 1 and recreate a bigger market for himself next summer.

Same with Ramsdale, put him in at Forest and he will be a big improvement on Turner and they will easily go 25m plus for him.

Loans are risky as they can get injured and the loan club will have zero incentive to mend them or even bother taking care of them.

It's far superior to sell them whilst they still have a CV as loans rarely increase prices like that.

Are Arsenal that nice to be demanding 30m for their riff raff anyways? Edu deserves praise if he pulls it off but I don't really know about this one.

Marseille just bought Greenwood for 27 million. He got 8 goals and 6 assists and has a horrible reputation. Not surprised Arsenal want to 25 million for their non wife beating women abuser.

I hear all that but Greenwood actually played though. That's less money available for them after buying him as well, but I'm sure Eddie gets done anyways.

Nketiah is 25 and never had close to the season Baligun had for Remis. Even last season as poor as he was he scored more league goals than Nketiah ever has in a league season

That’s actually not correct at all.

It’s just a minutes played thing. Eddie in his better seasons scored at the same rate per 90 mins that Balogun did that season (not including penalty kicks).

They were both about 0.48 goals per 90 from memory.

And Eddie was in the EPL which is obviously harder to score in.

Edit: see their goal scoring stats attached. Balogun has never had a season as good as Eddie’s in 21-22.

Monaco paid 30mil for a striker has score 7 goals in a league that a 32yo Lacazette scored 19 (he could not score more than 15 goals a season with us for 5 years)?

What a steal. English strikers are overpriced, Kane or whoever.

Yeah exactly. Which is why I doubt Marseille are dumb enough to overpay for Eddie.

Nketiah scored 10 goals that season but 4 of them was against lower league teams in the league cup. In the Premier League he scored 5 goals and 2 of them was against a terrible Leeds team that almost got relegated.

Goals per minutes and that sort of stuff is silly. It can make average or useless strikers look better than elite strikers. Ridiculous.

He went back to his true level.

New teammates, a new manager and a new way of playing. In the end Balogun had 13 goals/assists in 29 Ligue 1 games (15 goals/assists in 32 games overall) which is perfectly fine. He also was USA:s best player in this summers Copa America.
Balogun would definitely have been more useful at Arsenal than that loser Nketiah. Despite being younger he is clearly ahead of him in terms of development.

The stats I posted are from the premier league only. He scored 0.54 goals per 90 mins that season.

Anyway it would be ironic that you’re criticising the opponents of Nketiah when Balogun is playing against far poorer opposition.
See how many goals Lacazette scores in the French Ligue vs Prem.

Goals per minutes is the only thing that isn’t silly. Comparing goals scored for a player who played 100 mins to a player who played 1000 minutes obviously doesn’t make sense.

A 10 year old would know it’s not fair to compare a substitute to a starters total goal tally. I shouldn’t have to explain it lol.

I can draw conclusions based on what i see with my own eyes. No stats gonna change the fact that Balogun is ahead of Nketiah despite being 2 years younger. Its just insane that Arsenal fans try to glorify a loser like Nketiah only because Arteta rate him.

Chris Wood scored 14 goals and Solanke scored 19 goals in the Premier League last season. So dont act like its incredibly difficult to score goals in the Premier League while anyone can score in Ligue 1. No, this current Premier League edition is not the greatest league ever.

Reckon Arteta’s eyes are more accurate for judging the two.

I’m happy to wait till Eddie signs somewhere else and out-scores Balogun consistently before I’ll say I told you so again (even though I already showed it through the stats).

Note the non-goalscoring stats are way in Eddie’s favor also. Balogun was only superior in aerial duels. Eddie outperformed him in almost every other facet of play. Despite a tougher league.

Both are mediocre strikers for Arsenal aspirations. Eddie's problem is he can't hold the ball, he is not good enough carrying the ball, he doesn't involve in game creation and is poor in the air. His best trait is poaching inside the box and not a single poacher has worked with Arteta's system, and tbh every goalscorer but Havertz has been reduced his goal quota with Arteta, specially players like Auba and Laca. So the best for them is to leave Arsenal and go for mid table teams.

Arsenal Quotes

Thierry Henry was very quick at analysing everything that was going on and how he needed to react. This intelligence, this capacity to evaluate, understand and question oneself, is also the mark of great players... For everyone, for the fans and for us, he symbolised the golden age of Arsenal.
