Edu & Vinai: The Dream Team

Don't forget Saliba and Saka's extensions are still on the line.

The way the club managed Saliba was so, so, stupid. We should've never been in this position.
It's shocking to be in this position. Let's hope we achieve the best outcome.

Problem is we need more than that. Another wide attacking player is also crucial, there’s still only Saka on the right.
Rice/Bellingham
Caciedo/Zubimendi
Fresneda
RW
We'll also need Patino, Azeez and top reserves to be given a chance as we prepare for Xhaka and Partey to be phased out over the next two years.

I will certainly back him after I get over the disappointment of missing out our main targets yet again.

There's no doubt he will be a useful squad member with his experience, adds to depth to our Europa games but I'm not sure how much he will improve the squad with his limited pace.

Apart from that superb season under Tuchel where he finished 3rd in Ballon d'Or for winning the CL, before that he was pretty much underwhelming most of the time. I remember how disappointed peeps here were when we were link to him seasons back. He's not even rated highly by Chelsea fans and how pleased they are because we are paying for 14mil for a 31 year old player with 4 months left on contract
A £12 million transfer for 1.5 years wont have any impact on players like Caicedo and Rice who would be massive transfer fees for the long term. If we don't get them then its nothing to do with Jorginho

Jokes about Edu aside, the fact that Arteta (who seems to be the one pushing the Jorginho deal) can't see how bad this makes Arsenal look is very concerning.

After how badly Willian went, you would think Arteta would learn...but pushing to sign ANOTHER ageing Chelsea player (that they are looking to offload) after they beat us to other signings, genuinely makes the club look like a little b1tch.

Very disappointed with Mikel if we end up signing another Chelsea gimp, it's taken the shine off this season quite badly.
What has the Willian transfer got to do with this? Them playing for the same team before is of no importance or consequence. Luckily there isn't a magic rule that means that ex chelsea players won't play well if they transfer to Arsenal.

Its about the technical, physical and mental fit of the player.

Do you think the club have social media specialists that gathers data on how the fans react to news on social media? I know that United have this type of thing. This is the only thing that could prevent the Jorginho move because clearly Edu is not capable of reading the ****ing room.
You genuinely want the club - who hire professionals - to listen to the fans when deciding to buy a player??

Btw you realise fans always disagree with each other, so you want them to listen to the fans that are the loudest?

Deary me.

I totally understand what you're saying, but we literally can't get worse than Lokonga. I think Arteta has seen enough, we all have. We had to do something.

Sure, but it's getting toxic either way, no on wants another Chelsea reject that we're going to have in the squad collecting wages one year from now. I really hope this is a move to get Brighton board to the table. I really can't see anything positive with this move other than having a body in midfield.
LOL. Hate our fans sometimes. Imagine leading the league for the first time in like 20 years. 5 points ahead and a game in had. Almost all buys in the last two years have been great. And people are getting toxic? **** them honestly. Babies. Imagine listening to babies(Who have absolutely 0 information about anything) when making a transfer,

If this club would rather look good than doing what's right, I'd be fuming. We would have mourinho here now and be 8th if we listened to our fans

My initial reaction was a bit like this too, but I think we're just going to have to trust the manager here. The club is in a different place now than when we signed Willian.

Are we better off now than before the window? - I think the answer to that is yes. Could we have had a better window? The answer is probably also yes, but it is what it is.

Well when Partey gets his inevitable injury and you have to play with a midfield of Jorginho-Xhaka(which will get destroyed and end our title chances) - I can't wait for the excuses to flow.

Best chance in years to win the league and this is the best Edu could do?? Laughable!

@Zaza

It's not for lack of trying. If we can't get people we cant. We won 2/3 without Partey and we have improved since then. In a better world we could've gotten rice and Caicedo. But if they don't sell we can't do it.

If things went our way, we maybe would've bought mudryk, rice/Caicedo. They had great targets. Winter transfers are always hard.

It's like people think it's just push a button and player agrees to join for a reasonable fee and clubs instantly sells the player

EDIT: worth mentioning we've spent €190mil this season. It's not like they are not trying to improve the club. Again it's not monopoly money, even if it's not yours.

Harsh to blame them from Caicedo, bid was timed right and forced the player to apply some pressure. But if the other club is resolute in their stance what can you do?

Mudryk, going by The Atheltic interview with Shakhtar, it would appear that situation wasn’t handled great. Same with Felix, caught out massively there.

The last time we were proper challenging for the title we finished the Jan window with Elneny as the only signing so we’ve done pretty well this time around.

Not joking. It was on the club's twitter or something page. I could have slapped Gazidis silly. You'll have no trouble finding it if you can bare to look

Madness, ffs...I rate Giroud, but you can't congratulate a player that is currently (at the time) playing for those ****s.

I am Arteta and Edu out now, because of this!

Of course it does he’s apparently on 150k per week and blocks a position in our squad. With el neny also renewing we will most likely only buy one midfielder next season.
