Because Panic United are going to pay Ā£70m for him and pay him 300-400k a week and he's 30.

His age is not a concern but the supposed fees & wage are astronomical!

They'll really have learned nothing if they persist with this deal

United are desperate as their midfield is ****e. They cannot have a project in their midfield and hence are going for a readymade solution in Casemiro.

They could of signed Neves but they sacked their scouting department and put Ten Hag in charge who's never been in charge of transfers and has never had any experiencing working with his scouting department. It's genius it is

Cho wages would be too much for his current level compared to our young players
CHO on 130k

Saka about to be on close to 200k, Gabi on 90 and will be extended this summer or next. Itā€™s actually not that bad.

Surely/hopefully this isnā€™t permanent at 21 years old?
The achilles is presently one of the worst things you can injure as an athlete. It's kind of like what an ACL tear was in the early 90's. You can get back to 100% structurally but it takes time, even with the best surgeons and post op care. The fast twitch muscles in the calf are extremely important for acceleration and changing direction and an achilles rupture causes a lot of atrophy in the calf. Bellerin never got his pre ACL tear pace back and the achilles is actually considerably more important to generating force for sprinting than the ACL so a lot of guys come back 100% from a structural standpoint but not 100% from a force generation standpoint. You can see improvement up to 18 months post op but after that the level that you're at is probably the best you're going to get to.

Yeah because when players truly get back to their best you tend to see it right away. Like Kevin Durant looks exactly the same player as before the achilles and he was 30 when it happened. For Hudson-Odoi to still not look the same 3 years on at this age is really not indicative of someone who is going to be the same.

I also don't think we would sign him as he doesn't appear smart enough. He makes stupid decisions off the field and naieve ones on it. When you consider we have a very complicated system with many moving parts. The reason why players like Pepe, CHO, Zaha and ASM wont be signed isn't actually due to what they can do with a football. It's more about the positions they take on and off the ball during the entire 90 minutes. Pepe is brilliant in one action and then looks like he can't control a ball the next. Zaha, CHO and ASM are exactly the same.

We needa Mane type. Technically brilliant and tactically intelligent.
