How about getting some things straight before continuing

1. The most succesful football managers in the world (Mourinho, Ferguson, PEP) + most successful chefs, CEO's etc fire people who dissent

2. Pepe lose the ball, fall, too often to play under Pep, Arteta, Tuchel etc. He could be great at a different kind of team w counter attacking football

Okay now

So am I right in thinking there is absolutely no sign of us bringing anyone in?

At this stage of the window whatever happens usually comes out of nowhere. There won’t be any long drawn out negotiation. Just look at Newcastle signing Guimares.

AM told me that money wouldnt be a problem at all as Stan now has opened his (actually Arsenals) wallet. So the "lack of funds" excuse is unuseable already.

So we can count Guimaraes out of our midfield targets in the summer, as we've not liked him enough to intervene on a move to Newcastle.

So, that leaves us with the likes of Neves, Tielemans and Bissouma perhaps?

Loves Overhyping Our Rivals
The transfer politic in relation to our striker is absolutely shambolic.

There was absolutely no need to block a transfer from Nketiah. It was often reported, that there are PL clubs interested, while he has no intention to sign a new contract. We could have got around 5-10m for him and invest this money for a "gable" like Cabral (15m overall).

Everyone knew, that someone like Vlahovic wouldn't come here. Go into the second half of the season with Cabral and Laca and we will see, if we need another 60m+ striker transfer next summer.

If Cabral isn't good enough as Nr.1 striker, we can still search a new one next summer. Cabral + X to replace Auba, Laca and Nketiah. Now the reality is, that Auba has no future here thanks to Arteta and Laca and Nketiah are leaving (rightly) for free in summer.

What's the plan for next summer then? Balogun will move up from the 4th choice to the 2nd choice? We will hopefully have international matches, so it's nearly impossible to go with two strikers into the next season.
