Signing Morata would be very similar to the strategy that has made us end up at 8th in the country.
No. Not signing anyone would do that.

Signing Morata when if we can't get anyone else would be smart.

Let's be real. They had a plan. Auba being frozen out and loaned out in January wasn't part of it. Vlahovic was a gamble.

Now all CFs are not available in Jan apart from Isak for 90 million euros. If Isak wasn't part of the plan before, is it wise to make it part of the plan now and effect the plan in terms of midfield.

The midfield is back. We have 1 game a week. Morata as a back up and off the bench offering an aerial presence for 6 months, knows the league, is smart. Smarter than panic buying.

The man was a failure in the league, flopped at Juve and we should take him here? I don't see what he's offering that we can't replicate in another target.

we're acting as if a multimillion operation goes into the transfer window and has one plan that doesnt come to fruition and is screwed thereafter. i refuse to believe that.

either we sigh no one and auba is being reinstated or we'll sign smn thats not a so called panic buy..

Really wouldn't want Morata. He has no fight or robustness about him at all. I was genuinely excited to see how he would do in the premier league but he shirked it imo. He got into the habit of just chesting the ball down and passing it back to where it came from or going down at every opportunity to try to win a foul. His confidence is so brittle. Very similar to what Chamakh had become in his later Arsenal years.
I had genuinely forgotten about him! Not one of Wenger’s finest moments.

The trouble with that scenario is Laca is the main striker, Laca who has 4 goals to his name all season. The only reason we had a successful period after Auba was banished is because Martinelli and Saka started scoring and ESR was scoring with his first touch coming off the bench. The chances of them getting enough goals to get us through to the end of the season and in the top 6 are pretty slim.
