Not for January this, but, if he keeps on his upward trajectory, I'd like us to go to Ipswich for Liam Delap in the summer.

From the times I've seen Ipswich play, especially today against Villa, he looks to be a menace in the area & has a sweet left foot on him.

High energy, hard worker and technically deficient. Proper Arteta player

Sesko with another 2 goals yesterday against Augsburg. Another low tracer bullet strike from range, and a header at the far post from a left sided cross.

Im going to watch him closely this season, but I think he's the man we need to get in the summer. Lots of potential there.
Not really “another 2” though? These were the first for the season for him.

Agree on the rest though, think this one is pretty much pencilled in unless we see his development completely stall.

Was there a RC in his new contract though?

He is THE guy. Said it awhile ago that if we are going for potential it’s him or Ferguson. The latter's injuries & price tag meant Sesko is a no brainer. The club saw it the same way & went after him. We will go back for him again

He was very highly rated but injuries stunted his growth. The bald charlatan can't bother with developing project players so binned him

Yep, he made a good decision to stay at RB with guaranteed playing time and a raise. If we sign him, he will come in as the nr. 1 striker instead of a project.

The question is for what price..

His binning of Palmer has once again proven his short-sightedness.

Hopefully, Ipswich head back to the Championship & we go in for Delap.

In the league yeah. He's scored in different cup competitions and internationally mind you.

To me, he looks like he can be a Havertz type player in terms of hold up / build up play, but with more of a strikers finishing instinct and technique.

I can see why we were so interested in him.

Scored a worldy for Slovakia in the international break too

Agree. It’s hard to watch him play and not be excited by the prospect of a Havertz 2.0. Still, what Havertz might lack in terms of goal scoring instincts and technique he probably makes up for in intelligence and hard work.

It’s not by any means a given Sesko can just do some of the things Havertz does and be a more prominent goal scorer, but given the noise around him early summer the club (most likely Arteta) believe they can develop him into that.

I know, I was playing a bit of devils advocate as @SA Gunner made it sound like he’s scoring for fun like the Scandinavian elite.

Quite likely there’s a bit of (unconscious) bias and defensiveness over my fellow countryman Gyökeres as well, even though I see Seško (and Isak for that matter) as likely better players for Arsenal

I think the difference is the Swedish hitman is pretty much at his peak, which is someone who can feast on weak defences, and would probably do well in EPL due to his experience, physicality and finishing, but Sesko, although riskier in many ways, is the one with stratospheric potential. He may never refine his game or find that consistency, but if he does, he's a bit of a unicorn. 6"5, quick, can bang with either foot, and although not smooth, can beat players off the dribble too. Still goes missing a bit, and can be a bit clunky, but already the kind of player whose highlight reel is frightning.

Fully agree! I want us to get Seško more than anything* for just those reasons, but would also love to have another successful and prominent Swede at Arsenal.

And with Gyökeres, just the idea of having a striker with an iconic celebration like that would be awesome, regardless of nationality
