Our budget is probably on par with West Ham and maybe even less than Everton.

There was a time under Wenger where Sunderland were spending more, yet Wenger was still delivering CL football.

It's not like Ajax was going to win the CL but their CL run had put a lot of their players in the shopping window and set them up for big money moves. Players won't mind joining us as a stepping stone but at the very least we need to be good enough to be one.

I'm not exactly a fan of Martinez but just use the guy or even Ospina, no need whatsoever to sign a GK at a cost this summer.
