League is very weak
I remember now, he looked liked a mini Pogba in that African Nations. Going past players for fun, good technique, good passing, quick and strong.

Isn't the biggest issue with Bissouma that he's like the fifth important player to leave for the African cup ?

First Graham now you 🤬

The tournament lasts a month exactly and it’ll be during the new PL winter break, and also there’s two FA cup rounds in January so really he’s missing two or three games at most and that’s only if Mali make it to the final which they absolutely will not.

Auba and Bissouma probably won’t make it out the groups. Only danger of going all the way from us is Pepe.

If we get 3 solid players/big talents, I'm actually hopeful for next season.

Yet there is a big "BUT" to this, I'd have high hopes with Saliba/Mavropanos +3 players heavily integrated, not if Arteta isn't embracing those 2.
We don't need to open the Arteta box again here, so no need to recap everything that's been said on his name before, but that's certainly the big question mark for me which defines my point of optimism or pessimism for the following season.

Arteta will definitely adapt his view on many things for the coming season, one might bash him for this year, but we really have no idea as of yet as to how he'll approach them from now on.
At least now he'll have the squad cut short of like 6-7 players soon.

Hardly even been online here for some time, it's not a totally absurd point to make

Mods need to enforce stricter AFCON posting. Really grinds my gears.

Torunament should be incredible next year though. Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Algeria and Morocco have some incredible players.

Lot of the smaller teams like Gabon, Guinea and Mali have some stars as well.

So your logic is to continue to give high wages when we are a midtable team. You really need to study economics.

You're giving me stalker vibes with all these responses.

As per the players I mentioned Bissouma and Buendias wages wouldn't be high. Yes you may need big bucks to attract a marquee signing but that should be fine due to the amount of players we will be chopping from the wage bill.

I want you off the forum and calling you out on your delusional thinking. Honestly, I think you are more of an Arteta fan than Arsenal supporter. You come across like that.

ACON again next season??! Seems like only yesterday I was watching the semi-final in a packed casino full of noisy Algerians and a solitary Nigerian uncle. When the super eagles equalised the Nigerian fan rubbed it in by doing the Roger Milla dance at the bar only for Mahrez to go and smash a free-kick down the other end. Absolute scenes.

You guys do know btw that the reason we’re probably getting linked to Freddie Woodman is because his dad does some coaching with the U-23s.

He joined Newcastle when he was coaching under Pardew there. Love how our summer targets are still guys who’ve worked with our coaches
