Sulemana would be a smart pick up by us. Excellent direct player with a lot of talent and probably could be got for a reasonable fee from Soton

Can provide cover across both wings and has a lot of potential.
With Nelson renewing it’s probably not possible. But he is a talent

I saw this on Twitter, and I found the answer. Switching the dynamic to an inverted right back makes more sense because most of our buildup play comes from that side. It also means we are not so dependent on Saliba.

But I'm not sure about spending £200 million on midfielders when our attackers were dead by April. We could do with another pacey forward, preferably a CF.

Arteta played Zinchenko, who was integral to how we played, almost any opportunity he could all season and it's our best season in forever and he's going to ditch him?

If we want to go big next few season this is the opportunity to do it aging midfielder and xhaka already left. But won't be straight forward all clubs will want them look rice is easier deal because we have advantage of him wanting to join

Well, Caicedo went on his social media to directly agitate to move to us in January, so I take it he’d want to join as well.

We started playing this formation after the Brighton game, when we were out of title contention. Maybe Arteta is already testing for next season.

When I see Partey at right back I start to think the Kimmich rumour is a bit firmer; Pep did it at Man City and Kimmich can slot in at right back, perhaps that's the plan with him alternating positions in defence and attack?

I am just wondering how many minutes after xhaka's departure is confirmed, we are once again linked with SMS?

Was never really a sensible proposition when xhaka still around, pretty sure however some journalist will link us to him within the next few days

Said this during the Jan window - very skillful and can use both feet but has struggled in the PL this season. Had a good showing today though. Would be interesting to see how he does though.

Seeing as we're being respectful of West Ham by waiting until their European final is over to bid for Rice, we should at least get to business by going back to Brighton & concluding the deal for Caicedo first lest he is purchased by Chelsea/United ahead of us.

That formation posted by @RunTheTrap is not the only formation we will play next season, but an additional one.

That formation is actually a more defensively secure setup, which as mentioned allows us to play two creative 8s instead of one, and which takes away our right side bias, giving opposition more to think about in both wide areas and central areas naturally.

It’s designed for low blocks and counter attack seeking teams like Everton.

I read that he doesn't run much defensively, which I think makes it a none starter. But I could be wrong.

From my understanding Mount does allot of defensive tracking back and is great off the ball. So I can see those links making sense

Yeah I agree. It was two games at the end of the season when our LB and CB were injured. I mean it's plausible that's a formation he might go to were we to have another injury crisis across the back (doubtful if we sign better Saliba cover and a new LB), but I don't think it's something he's looking to do frequently.

I think the only thing you could take from the last two games was Arteta fully washing his hands of Tierney.
