Will we sign an attacker before the window closes?

The more I watch Watkins the more convinced I become by him tbh. He does so much work for that Villa attack, absolutely ****s on the other 3 in terms of overall contribution IMO.

I do get he's probably too similar to Jesus though and probably no what you want if you want something different. He's also 28, not the youngest guy around.

Big Dom has it all imo. Added goals to his world class CF play.

I agree. I was in the minority a few years ago choosing Watkins over DCL when were linked to both as I thought Watkins was a much more well rounded player. Watkins dribbling ability goes underrated too. Watkins is only second in PL to Salah for combined league goals and assists.

Watkins ain’t gonna come here. Villa are not in any need to sell. We are better of finding a talented striker and develop them.

We are on verge of something great, hopefully, Kroenkes are in for a record spending next summer. Arteta is the guy you back fully!

I don't see us signing Watkins. He's on a long term contract and 28. Villa would demand a fortune for him.

Solanke and Toney seem more plausible targets.

Zubi Neto and CF all we need seriously with CL money is very possible the issue to get these 3 need close to 200M again so in summer we have to sell very well

We need to replace Ramsdale, the Athletic said he’s leaving in the summer.

Yes these things are secondary things to do we also likely need another's defender because we short. But important we get money from Eddie Nelson and Rams I think we'll sell them to get us some money

I've seen Patino a few times for Swansea and he doesn't convince me at all.
(also jorginho just put in a great performance vs liverpool)
Precisely why I asked tbh. Patino is a talent but I don't know if he has the temperament yet for such a role - he tends to be used further forward anyway but I've always thought he's better as a metronomic type of player. I'm just not sure about him, he tends to start the season well then gets dropped in the middle of the season and loses trust of the manager for whatever reason.

I've not seen enough Swansea games to have a strong opinion on him but the little i've seen he strikes me as having a future as a bottom half prem/ top half championship player.

I think he's one of those players that might look much better in a stronger team but we can't really bank on that.

The one thing he has over Jesus is availibility. His injury record is acceptable compared to Jesus who's suddenly fallen into Rosicky territory.
