Merino looks a lesser version of Bruno to me.

If the reported price is true, I'd just approach Newcastle instead.

There is no reported price. He’ll be cheap and that’s why I like it tbh coz the quality just isn’t there in the market this year.

Rather save it and then go big on Neves next year if he keeps progressing.

Seem more likely Guimaraes gonna stay at Newcastle even man city links gone quite. I'd honestly try go for Olmo but his injury record is worrying

Mikel Merino has one year left on his deal.

If we can persuade the player to join us then we’d also be able to agree a lower fee. I’m thinking more along the lines of £30M.

In which case I’d do that deal. He’s just turned 28 and Bruno is about to turn 27, think it would be a shrewd and again, opportunistic signing. (Albeit not very exciting)

@OnlyOne starting to get the same jitters now.

10 days until we go on tour and 5 weeks until the season starts.

Players won’t be integrated. Hopefully Calafiori goes on tour at least.

It’s worrying. Rice & Saka won’t be playing first few games, we still haven’t signed anyone and it looks doubtful we will.

Exactly this. He will become our Kovacic & a lesser version of Gundo.

Doesn't play 'sexy' football, but what he offers lends more to the way we set up & play, like Xhaka did. We missed this cog last season. This really shouldn't be underestimated.

If we can get him at a lesser price than other options (there are not many), then it affords us the opportunity to strengthen in the forward area, giving us more firepower.

Teta obviously wants to revamp the left side, so I'm guessing we will also target a left winger.

Arsenal Quotes

No one could have imagined for a single second that he would come to us. Only David Dein, Sol, his agent, and I knew what was going on. When I called a press conference to announce the arrival of a new player, and Sol Campbell walked into the room full of journalists, it was a bombshell.
