Will we sign an attacker before the window closes?

Frankie De Jong would be great option as LCM he got tow year left in his contract the only doubt I got that he might want stay one more year

FDJ does not have the legs to play LCM.
In PL he will face the same issues as Enzo. He is not a 10. Not mobile enough to play Box to Box. And not physical enough to play a 6.
Good player but not what we need.

To me that tweet seemed to suggest what I have been saying.

He says Arsenal is interested in both Osimhen and Gyokeres, but that they are likely too expensive especially when midfield is the more important position to improve with how much Arsenal has scored in the past two seasons. And when there is already Havertz, Jesus and Trossard.
We have far too much to do this window

There hasn’t been a single link to De Jong.
Why do people always keep pushing these wish list players in these threads? Even when there is not even the worst link available?

Is this the 3rd summer that people keep talking about De Jong who has astronomical wages? Or only the 2nd?

Same with Camavinga and Tchouameni from Real. I mean c'mon. They are not even worth to talk about. Then one can talk if "Özil" happens, otherwise it's totally pointless speculation.

I felt like mentioning him.

Has Toney been playing well since he came back? I haven't heard too much about him, and I don't watch any non-Arsenal games.
He has a point per 180 minutes, 4 goals. That's okay I think as they have many injuries, and a bad period as a club. And he just came back from a long break.

I have read their forum a bit. They think he is clearly their best player, and started really well. Now a bit worse period.

They speculate that either he has a niggle, or that he doesn't want to take risks of an injury as he knows he will be gone in the summer. For example they say that he drops deeper to build the play because of their injuries, but also that he doesn't back to the CB's for long balls as much.

I still wonder if all these rumours about other strikers are put out, because Brentford is rumoured to still demand a ridiculous sum for Toney. Arsenal likely wants to show that there are other options, and that Toney with a year left can't be too expensive.

I'd still prefer Toney, so that Arsenal can keep instantly challenging for the next 5 years. To heck with resale value etc. Trossard was a great buy, and I think Toney would be similar. He just has to cost 50-60 million pounds max.

Trossard is a good utility player who can play LW/LCM/ST purchased in Jan in the middle of title race.
Toney is not a utility player. Honestly if he was not English he wouldn't even be discussed by Sp**s fan.
We need a top class player or player who could be developed to that level. Toney is not that player.

There are many examples where a top club has poached the best player from a worse EPL team, and become a great success with better team mates.

Anyway, I'm not fuzzed if the new striker is Sesko or Zirkzee. It's up for the management to decide.

I just want Arsenal to keep pushing more and more, and fast. Toney is EPL proven, and a great fit with his qualities as a target man who has also false 9 skills, and a more solid finisher than Havertz or Jesus.

It also doesn't hurt this young squad to get more leaders or players with more age.

Beginning to think this way as well.

Love the player and what he can give us from deep, next to Rice, could be brilliant. If we sign FDJ I'd be ecstatic, no doubt about it.

But we need someone more mobile and able to take up more positions in our fluid midfield. Think Douglas Luiz is more that guy.

There’s a chain of Turkish restaurants in London called Gyokyuzu so every time someone wishlists him I start thinking of kebabs 😭
You sure it's not Gökyüzü?

(I don't know the place but gökyüzü means sky in Turkish, and gyokyuzu or gyökyüzü aren't words)

Yup..
FDJ is more talented player overall no doubt there but just not what we need.
Luiz has been my pick for a long time.
Although it may seem we may go for Zubimendi. He is also the right profile as he is a more mobile version on Jorginho based on what most are suggesting. Have not watched him personally.
