Will we sign an attacker before the window closes?

Arteta and Edus profile of player is clear, they allude to it multiple times every window.

U25 with a lot of experience at the top level.

I think the injuries with Neto are a big concern for Edu/Arteta because it’s robbed of his consistency across a full season. He’s basically only had one unaffected season in the PL.

Hes got all of the attributes to we need though. Pace, 1v1, transitions, can play on either flanks ect.

Will be interesting to see who they bring in up top, we’re all in the dark.

I think he'll be on the move next summer if Newcastle don't grab a CL spot which imo they probably will unless they have another freak injury season like the last one.

Jus get Gyökeres instead. Not as exciting as baby Henry but he'd be a great fit also.
I think someone else already has a pretty firm claim on that title

That's baby CR7 imo if you want to compare him to anyone.
Height, pace, dribbling, passing, cutting in from the left and making a mockery out of the Spuds everytime he plays against them. Come on now
Kylian plays nothing like either the young or prime CR7. He's neither as physical nor aerially dominant as the prime version nor is he as needlessly flamboyant and obsessed with overdribbling as the pre-Madrid version. He plays far more like the young Thierry still learning to transition into a striker. Also if you're using height as some kind of comparison between Henry and Isak while saying Mbappe plays like CR7, you might be interested to know that CR7 and Henry are both 6'2 while Isak is 6'4.

He's a wonderful player, don't get me wrong but nobody would be comparing him to Henry if he didn't wear the number 14 because of him and hadn't professed him being his inspiration. Mbappe's game actually warrants the comparison as does his consistent World Class level, a level that Isak is yet to reach.

You're right, Mbappe is not as dominant in the air as CR7, it's not a 1:1 comparison but the rest if his game is closer to Madrid CR7 than it is to Henry imo. CR7 was a better player than Henry so that's no a slight on Mbappe.

The comparison has been made long before he arrived in the prem, definitely not a new thing. And it starts and stops at a stylistic comparison between the players.

Don't think anyone is or would argue Isak on the same level Mbappe any time soon.

Can we just stop comparing everyone to Henry. Neither Mbappe or Isak are close and they never will be.
Nah, we can compare players to players that are similar. Mbappe is most likely going to end up as the better player when it's all said and done, if he's not already.

You think Mbappe is going to end up better than Henry?

Henry understood what the team needed much better than Mbappe. He was more intelligent with his movement and more aware of what his team mates were doing. Henry was also quite simply a bit better on the ball. Not sure who is quicker, or if it matters- they’re both lightning but Henry was definitely stronger. Henry was also much better with dead balls.

Mbappe though I think is a better finisher and has more BDE. Titi as much as we all adored him sometimes shrunk when the light shone brightest and in retrospect this makes sense given what he’s said about being depressed and essentially having imposter syndrome.

I take Henry all day but there’s no clear cut right/wrong answer there (unless you’re @Riou )

There is a clear cut answer. Mbappe is nowhere near Henry's level and never will be. Anyone who wasn't at least 10 years old in 2004 has absolutely no say in the matter. You have to have been old enough to see him at his absolute peak. The same goes for R9. Unless you watched him in 1997 in his first season on Sunday morning Italian football in the UK or elsewhere, you won't actually understand his talent.

Mbappe is nowhere near Henry. There is nothing that he does that is better than him. He isn't faster. He isn't a better finisher. He doesn't create more. He isn't more skillful. He isn't stronger. He isn't anywhere near as smart either. When did Henry shrink? The only suggestion of that would be the Champions League final and even then, he was past his peak, in a season where he was consistently getting injured and he put us on his back and carried us there.

Isak is the final piece to the puzzle, no doubt we'd win the lot with him but unfortunately I can't see Newcastle selling
