Will we sign an attacker before the window closes?

With Eddie on the way out, do we think we are going big?

Gyokeres, Osimhen, Neto, Williams, Toney all on the market.

Barcelona & Madrid likely to also sell to make way for Williams & Mbappe.
Osimhen is Chelsea bound. Williams only wants Barcelona. We do not like Toney. That leaves Gyokeres, if they are willing to lower the price & Neto, who we know Arteta loves but is expensive and has by age 21 broken all the bones in his body at least once. So not looking good son

It would be insanity to settle for Gyokeres over Osimhen.

he attacker signing won't be Neto Raphinha Osimhen and Williams it'll be someone we never been linked of.

Gyokeres is someone i'd keep close eye on specially if Sporting willing to lower their demands he look a guy who suit or style of play. can also used as winger

I think this is an interesting point. Gyokeres is someone we could get late in the window. The question is what do we need.

Havertz = aerial threat, linker, not a great finisher, runs behind.

Jesus = false 9 drifter, dribbler, not the best finisher, doesn't get to the box or run beyond enough.

Basically two different profiles with the same finishing issue.

Out wide we have:

Saka: creative scorer with high Iq
Trossard: same, but weaker physically.
Martinelli: direct, stretcher, pacey, lacks football iq and finishing is confidence based.
Jesus: high iq, creator, lacks finishing.
Vieira: high iq, lacks confidence and physicality.

So when we play Havertz, Trossard and Jesus together, you have three players who can rotate in those 3 positions.

If we were to play Merino, he may fuction better with Martinelli and Jesus. As the rotation would be Jesus drifts wide, Martinelli goes central and Merino provides the box presence.

So what do we LACK?

A finisher and a high IQ pacey winger.

I don't think there is a high IQ winger on the market apart from Wlliams. I wouldn't put Neto in that category. He is more head up than Martinelli, but still isn't head up enough. The one who isn't on the market yet is Rodrygo. He plays both sides and is a good blend between Jesus and Trossard.

Now finisher wise, you have Osimhen and Gyokeres as the finishers being talked about. Mouani and Ramos may be available if Osimhen goes PSG. Are they what we want? Probably not for the fee that would want and I think they take too long to shoot.

Joao Pedro is the potential world beater option, but its Brighton. Is he clinical enough? But he does everything. Runs beyond, links, drifts wide, short back lift, dribbles and sees a pass.

The last option and probably an expensive one is Openda. Now he would bring something different.

Shoots off both feet, small but he's good at heading towards goal, runs channel, makes space for a shot and sniffs a goal. Literally has consistently scored for the past 4 years now. Sightly above xg also.

He looks fast. Before people say he is slower than Kiwior, hes got the wrong side of City and stayed there.

So I dunno. Interesting to see what we do.

I cant find a thread to say this but I’m watching Fulham for ESR and I hope he makes it back to his early career form. Look how he says us vs them. Look how sad he looks. I hope he makes it.

Arsenal Quotes

An Arsenal fan, when you finish fourth, will say, “Hey, we’ve been in the top four for twenty years. We want to win the league!”. They don’t care that Manchester City or Chelsea have spent 300 or 400 million euros. They just want to beat them.
But if you finish fifteenth two years running, they will be happy if you finish fourth after that.
