We've got to stop Tottenham winning this

Who cares about them, United will beat them lol...we have to win this as WE need trophies now, tbh.

Haven't won this crappy cup since my uncle scored the winner in the final for us in 1993, it's our time again!

Put out Fulham last round. It depends on how you view the competition, if you couldn't care less for the competition or if we get put out then play the kids. If you want to progress then you need a fair amount of senior players.

Have a look at our rivals teams, not many kids playing in them at all tonight.
As I predicted it was an easy night. Some of you talk like we're not an actual team.

It was an easy night partly because we went there and played a strong team and had a good attitude towards the game. And I'm glad it was an easy night, it went exactly to plan. No fresh injuries, more minutes to fringe players and players returning from injury, an easy game where no-one had to overly exert themselves.

Too many times we've seen teams in the past made up of youngsters or even fringe players with poor attitudes struggle in these games.

Would we have been as comfortable playing Heaven instead of Saliba for example, or Nichols instead of Timber...I'm not so sure?!

I just saw Nwaneri's goal.

Beautiful shot, perfect camera angle, lovely spin of the ball and right at the spider's nest 🕷
He scored another beautiful but disallowed and another shot was almost the same beautiful goal but hit the long post. The kid is WC potential and it's criminal Arteta is not giving him more minutes. This is why we should be all thankful to Emery, under Arteta Saka wouldn't be developed the why he did.

I’ve enjoyed the two league cup games more than the premier league games. Jorginho as a 6 makes a huge difference. He’s very clever in the way he moves the ball out and we had a lot more variety yesterday when he dictated that first phase of attacks and where to send the ball.
Not a coincidence our best football last season was him and Rice complement each other. Jorginho is more creative than Partey but worse defensively. Arteta should use him more cleverly. He definitely can give a lot of control and experience when we need to close games with ball possession instead of going full defenders and go against the ropes.

So then by your logic... Nwaneri should not develop either, because Arteta.

Yup it's definitely the 8 PL appearances across Emery's year and a half in charge that developed him and not Arteta making him the first name on the team sheet and the star of the football club. I'm not sure how you could possibly find fault with the way Saka has developed mostly under Arteta. Here's a fun fact for you, he appeared in 1 PL match in Emery's first season in charge(when he was the same age Nwaneri is now) and in less than half the PL matches that Emery was in charge of in his second season before he was sacked. Of the 20 PL matches played under Arteta after he took over the job that season, Saka played in 17 of them so the guy who "developed" him somehow managed to do that while giving him less than half the appearances IN THE SAME SEASON as Arteta gave him. Flawless logic.

As a matter of fact, Nwaneri has already played more minutes for Arteta this season than Saka played for Emery in his first season of managing us where Saka logged a whopping 7 Premier League minutes and a couple of Europa group stage appearances at the same age Nwaneri is now and that's before we even discuss the minutes MLS is getting too. Whoops. What a shame your opinion doesn't line up with facts. Nwaneri is on pace to blow by the gametime Saka had under Emery this season and MLS likely will as well.

He’s such a clever player. When already in the opposition half, and he’s about to move the ball forward, he seems to have the ability to see ahead and move the ball to players that have the best chance of creating an attack.

Also, when the team is pressing high, he seems to do this thing where he will start blocking the release channels early so the opposition stay under pressure from the Arsenal attackers longer because they’re struggling to get the ball out to players up the pitch.

Jorginho is a joy to watch. He’s probably the most clever player in the squad in terms of the system Arsenal play.

Arsenal Quotes

In 1997/98 we became English champions as I had set myself three missions to carry out which I felt were essential. One: to have an impact on the result and the team's playing style. Two: to foster the player's individual development. Three: to strengthen the structure of the club and enhance its global influence.
