Just rotate and focus on finishing top 4 and going far in the ucl.
Give the likes of Salah-Eddine a run out. We are seeing first hand the consequences of the disastrous transfer windows we had in the summer and now.

I’d look to rest Partey regardless of Dubai. Every season against the cheats he pulls it out of the bag and puts in his best performance of the season. He had City on a leash again and slapped them about without compunction. It must be tiring. Give this man a break. Concerned he can’t repeat that so soon. He’s been used so heavily.

Honestly, I really think we can probably do this, we've probably got a chance at least. Look what happened after we scored our 2nd goal against City & just got our confidence boosted, 1st time in a long time we didn't just lay back & let them have all the possession, we took the authority for a change & scored 3 more great goals. Open play goals too. Shows you if we try we've got a capable squad of going all the way this season & taking our opposition on. Got good shots on us too if we aren't afraid to take a shot for a change. Nwaneri not just scored from a good shot against City, he took an even better shot against Girona & scored from that too!

Gunner come out of the closet any day now…
Rotating here makes no sense, you're not playing for ages after this game. 10 day break between this and the next fixture because you finished top 8 in the CL + got knocked out of the FA Cup.

Might as well proper go for it. The trophy itself is whatever but it's important to keep building momentum.

"it's just a Mickey Mouse Cup" true but we need a cup
but then again, we are half foot out the door on this one.... I guess we should at least get something from this game
Newcastle is strong

that win against city has now put Arsenal squarely into everyone's crosshairs once again. beating newcastle here (and progressing) sends a direct message, same as losing (and crashing out). so, what message do we want to send and does it even matter (i.e. can we ignore this with our minds on the dubai break plotting for "bigger" things)?

They're ****ting it. Score an early goal and we run 'em over.

We have to be up for this adter the last 2 home games. Crowd and players both need to do there bit.
This is going to pens.
Going for 1:0 to us or 0:5 to them. Can see either possibility unfortunately.
Sad that a club who were almost universally looked up to and respected are now known as the biggest whingers and worst losers in football.
They should bin Arteta for what he'e done to their reputation.
0-2 and then lose on penalties
Hope the atmosphere is akin to the PSG one in noise and hostility toward the opposition. Not holding my breath about that, mind.
We need the crowd to deliver full throated raucous backing, overflowing with optimism, eardrum bursting decibel levels and an absolute confidence in our ability to win the tie from the moment the ref toots his whistle

But if Arsenal get an early goal there’ll be a collective ****ting of y-fronts in the stands and that’ll feed through to the players and we’ll **** it up and lose the tie

For once we need to break free of the shackles of our many, many, many past failures and believe in total victory, with players and fans in perfect symbiosis
Too much nervousness I fear.

Probably too much expectation too (even though we are genuinely in a position where we should get through, so not unreasonable expectation). And expectation is the biggest atmosphere killer going.
Thank God we've already got a 2 goal lead from the away leg. It's Arsenal so it's going to be a tough game, but I expect us to raise our levels accordingly, and we'll get through after a tough examination.

2-2 at FT.
After yesterdays ****-show I can see these knocking us out. 2 quick first half goals will knock the **** out of us. And a third and fourth in the second half ends us.
yeah this isn’t going to go very well is it
**** me, hope it's just at much City being atrocious today. We're not really strong enough to sustain a challenge for CL places, so a huge amount is resting on a league cup final.

Can see us being 2 nil down by half time.
Score draw I reckon. IIRC people felt similar going into the Liverpool game back in December, seeing them dismantle Man City at home in their preceding game funnily enough. Just hope the crowd are up for it.
we've been such a soft touch at home this season I think Arsenal will be quite confident

our lot won't know whether to stick or twist whereas they'll just go for it

hope the crowd can help lift the team but suspect they'll he nervy as **** like me
Didn’t want to make the final anyway.
Honestly if we can't defend a 2-0 lead at home then we don't deserve to go through.

As I'm saying this, Arsenal have just scored a 5th against Man City.

But **** em, they are using up all their goals today, we are keeping ours back for Wednesday.
Would be unforgivable for us to not progress on Wednesday.
Let’s go Magpies. Let’s go!

DEE-FENCE. DEE-FENCE.
The players have always turned it on against the 'top' sides, so nothing to fear there.

Will be ****ting it if we have a 1 goal lead being defended for the last half hour with how tired our players have looked lately mind
Gordon to score first and do the Haaland celebration
The problem I foresee for the crowd tomorrow is the nervousness.
The team really need to come out strongly to get the crowd settled, a nervy display from the team will be amplified to the crowd.
I ****in hate Arsenal and their unhinged fans. Never wanted to win a game more (I mean I probably have but still) **** them

Really weird that we are collecting ’rivals’ like pin badges? who the feck do these nothing clubs like Newcastle think they are? We absolutely shouldn’t be in this position, but we can do this.

If Joelinton plays someone should be giving that knee a test, you know he’d be plotting the same.
