Should move him on if we get a good offer, he's not getting any playtime here as things stand. Sad, but it is what it is.

Nelson should be doing the same and getting his agent on the phone to Crossy and co., but unfortunately he won't.

Think they'd ask for more than that from Newcastle considering what they paid for that kid from Chelsea. I imagine £40m would get him.

Yeah, there abouts, but I can see us folding for less tbh.

We need to generate funds and depending on where we are in the Prem come January, I can see Arteta and Edu not wanting to make the same mistake twice of not pushing for a summer target to be brought early.

Would they be interested in a certain German attacker?

If they offer 50M then we should take it as we have bigger priorities in terms of the squad at this stage. It's a good deal for all parties.

If it allows us to bring in a CF or Neto in January for example, then it makes sense.

We need to get used to selling players who aren't complete trash. It's what the other top teams do.

If they offer 35 million we should take it tbh. He has very little value to us. He is not better than 3rd choice in any position with Arteta. He has played 9 mins in the league and 8 was vs Bournemouth when the game was done.

Why is 50m being talked about?

This feels a bit like when our fans thought we’d get a big payday from Newcastle for Tierney. The club will probably end up loaning ESR out.

£50m sounds like fantasy dollars, not sure that is on the cards, especially when you consider his injury record.

I don't want to sell him, but clearly there's some kind of "something" with Arteta meaning he's not getting enough game time.

If it's going to continue like that just sell the guy so he can get some fkin game time.

£50M would be great but given his lack of playing time I find it hard to believe we'd get that, if we do then take it.

I reckon he might do some great stuff with actual game time.

I'm still a big believer in him. He's shown flashes nearly everytime he's played and he's shown he can make a difference.
I understand that he needs minutes though and it doesn't look like he will get those here right now. I'd rather loan him out though. Or at least insert a buy-back clause, but I assume a club like Newcastle won't agree to buy him with such a clause.

I like him a lot, and I wish there was space for him...

But we all know if he was sold on a Monday and the following week there was a "Welcome to Arsenal" video on the club YouTube with Toney, Neto or someone of that ilk we'd be over the ESR sale pretty quickly.

Asset management and all that.

His place in the squad (not literal position, but place) is stockpiled and we have 2 glaring needs that his absence would facilitate.

Nahh both Neto and Toney would be underwhelming for me. If anything that would be the end of Eddie and Reiss. ESR has more in his locker than those two. But he’s not playing at all so his hand will be forced.

Nah, Emile is like our Rosicky. When things get a bit stagnant, he can inject that bit of forward momentum we will need. He's really a plug and play footballer who will play a simple game but link play, move forward and hopefully get some goals.

Havertz has a better final pass but for everything else Smith Rowe has more ability. He can play that role

No way we letting this player go.

This player is electric between the lines, being able to create so much space and chaos with his movement and ball carrying. His ability to speed up the game in the final third is a top quality difference to the way we play now.

Its exactly what Maddison is doing at Sp**s, that Smith Rowe has done at Arsenal.

The challenge here is for Mikel to get him more involved in our different game states, because we need his qualities at times.

Smith Rowe, along with Nelson, Vieira, TP5, Trossard, Martinelli, Nketiah are our vertical players, who take us from patient to chaotic and incisive, in an instant. And that's why Eddie Howe wants Smith Rowe, because he knows the damage he causes at pace.

That 50m is probably the least amount we should consider letting him go for, and I'd still be upset if we did that.
