Jesus Christ is that all it takes for the people to start turning against him?

Can see these next few pages being hilarious next season. Similar to how Saka supposedly didn’t have the attacking game for a winger and was a full back at best.

ESR is just tired, but he is still effective. Catch 22. He may get injured but we are also building his durability. Saka had these kind of games last season. I remember against Palace his crossing was awful. The best of ESR will come next season, but let's not ignore the reason Saka and Pepe are so good is literally because of ESR's awareness of space. Pepe is drifting central because ESR recognises he needs to drift wide.

With all that being said. He almost created a goal for himself but for a good block.

He's good but people definitely got carried away. A lot of it is passive aggression due to the utter disdain for some of the senior players.

As a consequence he’s been kinda made out to be better than he currently is.

He has loads to work on, but given his age and lack of playing time he’s actually doing really well overall.

Today clearly we see how good ESR is as an all around player. When he was subbed off, it was a disaster. Our shape was poor and no energy on the left or in the middle.

He is everywhere on the pitch and likely Arsenal’s second best player behind Saka.

That's partly due to Willian being a waste of space. Like playing with 10.

This is gonna be like Saka's v Chelsea all over again...loads of pundits/players bombarding ESR with "yOu DiDn'T mEaN iT"

Imagine if they did this with Bergkamp back in the day, after his goal v Newcastle...

Dabizas: "You didn't mean th.." (swift forearm to the face next game)

...that's how to deal with this ****

Break between fixtures did him good, played very well today and a great cross for the 4th goal. He's young so he's not going to be consistent every week but he will always give effort and the more minutes he can get with the likes of Auba and Saka the better. Glad that we could get him off early ready for Benfica.

I think that was intended to be a cross. He looks at Auba before making the play, and the way it's weighted is more like a cross than a shot. A very good cross at that.

Also pleased that he got some time to rest.

Such an important role he plays. He covers the ground like Ramsey but higher up the pitch. The week off did him good.

It’s obviously a cross lol. He sees Auba and hits under the ball. Do the people doubting him know actual crossing technique?
