Ethan Nwaneri: Dortmund Germanation

Not got a position but he should be only the right wing back up when all of Saka, Madueke Martinelli are starting there ahead of him. Gotcha, that sounds super consistent.

I said this last season, when we didn't have Madueke. Now, I don't know, think he'll struggle for gametime. I think there will come a point in the future where we'll have to decide between him or Dowman... and there is only going to be one winner there.

People will get upset if you think he will be sold. All the young players will stay here and we will keep buying and have squad of 50 players

When you sign both Madueke and Eze, while also keeping both Martinelli and Trossard.... the writing is on the wall.

Exactly. Specially when the words coming out was he was gonna be used centrally. And the club waited until he extended, the moment he did they signed Eze. No way would he extend if Eze was signed early

Nothing Wrong With Me
I’m starting to see a similar path to Nelson and Nketiah. Looked great coming through the youth squad but never really stepped up in the first team. Ok, he’s not getting a lot of minutes, but when he does, he’s not grabbing it and excelling.

He's 18 f*cking years old.
Age is f*cking irrelevant in this case, he was playing better a year ago. We’ve had other young players, Saka for eg, when they’ve been given the chance, they’ve grabbed it. Nwaneri isn’t grabbing it. I hope he comes good, just pointing out that we’ve seen it before.

When you're talking about uneven performances and the player is a teenager, the age is highly relevant. You're a clown.

Nwaneri is a top talent. One of the best talents we have produced. But there are more factors at play that decide how far he will make it.

Sometimes these will work out. Sometimes not. At 18 it is 3-5 years too early to tell.

Here is that hot head Batman. Can't have a normal discussion. For any Friends fans, I imagine him to be like this guy....

Of course the head clown is offended. It's actually very important to call clowns what they are. Society is in a death spiral because we've spent too long legitimizing stupidity rather than calling it out.

No need for this kind of language. The forum is supposed to be a safe space every fan can express their views

Still young, and needs game time to find his true level and best position.

I see him as a second striker type of player in the mould of Griezmann. We are a team now challenging for the top honors with a stacked competitive team, nothing will be handed to Nwaneri on a platter.

I think the best course of action for him and the club is a loan. A two year loan to Crystal Palace, Fulham, Brentford would’ve been perfect for him at the start of the season. You see Real Madrid do it with Brahim Diaz, Ødegaard, Hakimi and now are looking for a loan for Endrick. It’s a beneficial route for player development.

Last season, I said I was unsure on a position for Ethan, because on the wing, although he can beat a man, he can't then get away and maintain speed, and in the middle, he doesn't look physically at it and doesn't understand when to speed up the game and when to slow it down. I said his best bet is to have another season as Saka back up. Rather than a discussion, this was met with hostility from the usual hot heads like Batman and the leader of the 'make Arsenal Black again' firm @RunTheTrap and his assistant @Trilly.
Let’s see the post where I met you with hostility?

Because I agree with what you’ve said, I just don’t think it’s that big of a deal yet because he’s a baby.

BTW weaker players than him have succeeded in the middle and slower players than him have succeeded out wide. That’s why you give young players time to see if they can overcome these early flaws in their game.
