Don't want to see him anywhere near Chelsea. I feel like there's unfinished business's not trying him as a forward or Saka deputy.

I don't see why we can't play Ethan at RW. Madueke, at best, keeps the ball and runs at the defender before losing it or making a dumb decision. If Nwaneri can recycle the ball and whip in a cross once in a while, he's at a minimum on the same level as Madueke.

Maybe yeah, but it's not looking good for him here is it in which case? If that's the only reason, it means that 16 year old Dowman has jumped him in the pecking order; none of the established players are considered surplus and the only logical conclusion for Nwaneri is that he won't get many opportunities this season, barring an injury crisis. Not where he would want to be given his talent.

I think what makes this worse is that we could easily have chosen to rest players like Saka/Madueke given the late CL run. Both City & Arsenal had essentially their strongest teams out so fair enough... But... not looking good for Nwaneri. Not sure what I feel about that tbh

Either way Dowman being ahead of Nwaneri is a no brainer, not sure why that surprises you. Dowman should be ahead of Madueke too if not for the fact that he is too young to be getting too many minutes.

Dortmund would be the best move for him. They have developed so many young talents like him a few years there and he hits his full potential and gets his move to a big club as a star.

Selling him with a buy back clause might be the best course of action at this point. If we send him on another loan and it's another Marseille situation his value will hit rock bottom and we'll have no idea what to do with him.

Dowman being ahead of Nwaneri doesn't surprise me as such, he's a huge talent obviously. It's more what it does for Nwaneri. Two under 21 players for essentially the same minutes doesn't feel sustainable. They are different players, but both competing for the AM/RW slots.

I'd like us to find a pathway for Nwaneri but unless Madueke or Eze goes - which doesn't seem likely at all then it just doesn't seem realistic at the moment barring injuries. I'm not really saying anything particularly profound - just found it surprisingly there wasn't space on the bench for him. It's telling. I guess another loan is an option and that might be best if we can find the right club

An ok loan is better for him than just making the squad right now. Can't be having another AMN situation where we keep him too long if the plan is not to integrate him.

The sad thing is a different manager would see this as an ideal opportunity to integrate Nwaneri fully into the squad but Arteta's mind doesn't work like that.

More likely even with all the injury problems Ødegaard has had he will do to him what he did to rice and Zubi and overplay them and not give Nørgaard any minutes at all.

All evidence says Ethan wants to just play (hence him going on loan last season an Artetas comments this summer). If he doesn't leave its due to the club failing to get a LW and so making Ethan stay.

No idea where you came up with this odd and baseless narrative that he wants to stay and isnt up for making hard decisions.
