Ethan Nwaneri: Marseille It Ain’t So

Oh dear hope the other player is fine. Shocking challenge
Yeah. If you look closely, the player (who I found out is actually Hale Ender Glen Kamara!) actually rolls his ankle so Nwaneri doesn't actually catch the ankle but the tackle was considered dangerous and he only got a booking.

Maybe he's trying to impress Arteta with added aggression
He kinda always has been. Not the first time he's gone in with that type of challenge. He's not always lax OOP

Really good summary from Matt Spiro.

I've been critical at our management following his departure, but I reckon we'll look back at this as a very good loan like Saliba.

Nwaneri will be challenging for the title, CL spots, and representing one of the most passionate fanbases in Europe (+ the Maghreb). Also, the reference to him visiting Clairefontaine and experiencing the Marseille ultras every week is as good as it gets.

I wonder how long in the making this loan was planned. Did he know when he signed his contract 6 months ago that this was the plan? Maybe even too Marseille so he could start practicing French? Or was it last minute opportunist from all parties.

Good question to ask tbh.

Unless something really out of the blue happens, Eze and Ode will be here next season, with Kai/Merino also hopefully being fit a lot more often.

There is no real space for Ethan in the squad. If all go's well at Marseille can see a full season loan there.

Says Aesthetics Merchants, but really means Trilly
I saw what Endrick did yesterday and it moved me. The sharp-shooting second-striker is making a comeback, and Nwaneri has his eye on the crosshairs. I’ve compared him to Griezmann and to a lesser extent Kroupi, both of whom, I have rated highly for a long time. Let's hope he continues his trajectory and plucks Ødegaard out of the starting XI next season.

In a football match anything can happen, the players, 90 minutes, fantastic moves, an element of luck, talent, courage, and touch of magic and, for those who are watching these men play, the search for excitement, for a memory, for a lesson in life.
