Ethan Nwaneri: Marseille It Ain’t So

That's nasty.

That is a reckless ankle breaking tackle that could have ruined the players career. If that was done on one of our players this place would be flooded with posts asking for the one making the tackle to be charged with assault and banned for life.

There's no concern. Nwaneri got subbed off against the CL holders. They statistically did more damage after he left the field.

We also have to remember he started a game against the second-best team in France and scored.

Like Timber's twin, he has joined one of the biggest clubs in Europe at an awkward time. Their form is hit and miss, their manager wanted out, and the fans always expect the best. Then there's the squad overhaul they had in January, and he has already seen two English contemporaries get the boot.

None of that is easy for a player, let alone a player who has moved to a different country. It's all part of the process, and so far, he's doing just fine.

I know but what are we really supposed to do? We know he isn’t a dirty player and had just made a poor tackle.

I think the only real learning point here is to keep that in mind next time a non-dirty player makes a bad challenge on one of ours.

Right - he's only had 3 games. The minutes are the most important bit, he could play the next 5 in a row terribly but it wouldn't concern me. We know he's a top talent, and we also know development isn't linear. Myles is a perfect example of this. It's all about playing and getting more experience in his legs.

In those 3 games, he already has a goal (and a very good goal against a good side too). I won't be surprised if there are a lot more post-PSG. Sometimes you need to take an L before you take a W.

Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
The only concern here is OM don't look stable off the pitch fans not happy and manager future uncertain but as long he continue starting we really shouldn't be concerned that what he there for for few months

Have they appointed a new manager yet?

Should get on the phone with Mikel/Berta/Arsenal board to sort one out, since we practically run their club.

Hopefully Mikel can make it in time for the board meeting this weekend. Reckon him and Berta have a forlder with names ready.
