Ethan Nwaneri: Marseille It Ain’t So

There's a good argument to sell him with a buy back clause. Sell him under his value, like 40m, buy back clause of 60m and 20% sell on fee. He needs experience and you can't expect teams to develop him if they have no vested interest in doing so

Why would we sell him? He’s in year 1 of a 5 year contract and Arteta knows his quality having given him decent game time over the last couple seasons. He’s only 19 just because he’s not a 1st team regular today doesn’t mean he won’t be in a year or two. He’s going down the Saliba path and rightly so I think this loan spell shows he isn’t ready yet. The talent and ability is definitely there just give him time.

Oh yes the loan spell where he was sent to play under a certain manager with a particular system in place who then randomly got fired/left a week after he got there lol. Now the new manager is clearly playing politics and won't use Ethan cause he knows he won't be there for the long haul.

At least Ethan will have experience with regime change which he can bring back to the club.

The new manager is fighting for a CL spot and picks the team that he thinks will get him there. He doesn’t care about anything else you either in his opinion fit that criteria and you start or you don’t.

Our coaching staff is simply not elite. Last season Nwaneri had a run of 2-3 games where he didn't play well and according to Mokbel or was it gunnerblog the coaching staff "felt Nwaneri hit a wall" and then Nwaneri pretty much rode the bench for 2 months straight, barely getting game time as a sub for Saka.

You know who also had a run of bad games this season?

Lennart Karl. He played like 8-9 underwhelming games in a row and you know what Bayern did? They just continued giving him minutes because inconsistency is completely normal for a player at that age.
Our manager prefers to just kill the development of our youngsters if they aren't "perfect" every game.

MLS dunked on Real Madrid twice last season and Nwaneri scored the same amount of goals as Rooney at the same age. Those two should've been making the next step this season not be replaced by players that don't have the potential they have.

Arteta deserves a sacking just for the treatment of Nwaneri.

His decision to send him on loan while Havertz and Jesus are stinking up the pitch, along with Madueke is a sackable offense.

Madueke is not competition to Nwaneri though, he was signed to give something very different from Nwaneri and our other wingers. He was signed to be our Saka when Saka is not fit, something Nwaneri cannot be. Nwaneri's main competition is Eze and signing Eze killed much future Nwaneri has in the club.

He's just shy man. I'm not buying this hit piece at all.
Is Nwaneri shy or is he just introverted? I think people always project shyness unto introverted individuals. Shyness implies the person is nervous and might even have social anxiety. Nwaneri plays with confidence and is clearly very competitive. He would not have survived academy football and been a highly sort after prospect that they had to give him his debut at 15 to prevent other clubs from snatching him up.

That's all fair and well but this manager came into the job with a clear preconceived grudge against Nwaneri. Literally the absolute worst manager to get appointed from Ethan's POV.
