Ethan Nwaneri: New Nwan-era?

The left side is dead. Him and MLS can share minutes to protect themselves from being overplayed. Not sure how they'd be any worse. With Ethan, you'd certainly get technique, ball carrying and an eye for a pass or goal.

This is what I'm thinking. If Arteta is reluctant to give them significant minutes then having them share minutes on the left seems like a good compromise. I don't rate Merino at all. And frankly his time at Arsenal is looking like a dud. I've likened MLS to Curtis Jones, and he's a player I'm fond of. We all know how good Nwaneri is.

He isn't going to do it. We all know this. Wishful thinking and might very well work. But he won't do it unless something drastic happens.

He'd put Tross over there or Jesus up top and Kai back there before those two.

It is a shame.

Nice to see he goy another 15 minutes today in game we looking to win that mean Arteta already trusting him.

Would like he get longer minutes maybe 25 minutes

The bright spot of a very tedious season so far. He and MLS may become the only reason to watch if we don't right the ship quickly.
Imagine if Chelsea ends up winning the league before this version of Arsenal lol. Too many draws already. And crucial players always injured. All the other top teams that win consistently never seem to have extended injuries to their best players. On the bright side, at least Arsenal no longer have the reputation of being soft in the Emirates era.

They're due a dip just like Liverpool are but it would be very disheartening to say the least.

He looked lively in the ten minutes that he was given. Two shots straight at the keeper but he always looks for the best option to goal at all times. I still believe he's being under utilised this season and am always excited when he finally gets subbed on.

He's just relentless. Every time he gets the ball he's looking to create danger. You also can't take the ball off of him. Every time it looks like he might lose it, he pulls something out of his hat and leaves the defender chasing shadows. I'm so looking forward to seeing more of him and MLS playing together. I'm of course not saying they'll reach these levels or that the comparisons are exact but I imagine this must be what Barcelona supporters felt like when Xavi and Iniesta started to break into the first team together. It's just a different kind of joy watching your academy kids learn to fly.

I'm really impressed with Ethan. he always seems to make the right decision,
he has dribbling, ball control, shooting, personality, sprinting. every time he has the ball at his feet he seems to be able to create a dangerous actions.
honestly apart from Yamal I don't see a talent with all this potential around Europe.

His ceiling is scary. He is technically perfect at the age of 17. He is already so robust, but can definitely get even more explosive+powerful as he grows into his body and gains man strength. Him, MLS and Dowman are definitely the most talented all around prospects to ever come out of hale end. Wilshere didn't have the football IQ and Saka wasn't as technically gifted or agile as those three when he was coming through, but he had the mental, physical and IQ/feel for the game part down.

So all you calling for Nwaneri for more minutes. You got your wish and probably best stage for performing at home needing a goal against weak Everton side.

This match tells us he's not ready and also reason why Arteta not thrown him into the starting team or getting more minutes yet.

He will become class eventually I'm sure but still years away till maturity I'm afraid

It's really strange from Arteta.

All the time when Ødegaard was injured, he hasn't tested him as starter instead of Ode in the PL. Then we have a difficult in the PL and suddenly he is expected to fill the role from Ode?

By your logic, none of his senior teammates are ready either. He's now not ready because he couldn't impact a game that the entire team was flat in? Just daft. He was ready when he won us the match against Leicester but now he's not ready?

By that Arteta Stan logic, no player was ready today.

He has no choice, the earlier idea was Trossard and now he looks lost most games in his LW position.

With him now a regular rotation option, the risk is him learning Artetaball.

Arsenal Quotes

A team can attack for too long. The most opportune time for scoring is immediately after repelling an attack, because opponents are then strung out in the wrong half of the field. All the men are expected to play to plan, but not so as to stifle individuality
