He is a complete idiot if he extend as long as Teta is around.
It's been frustrating that he hasn't gotten more time recently but every second of senior football he's played has been because Arteta played him. He's also watched his mate take over the LB job so it would be more idiotic to read into a few games where he hasn't gotten many minutes vs the opportunities that are clearly there for young players if they're good enough. This of course requires nuanced thinking which is entirely beyond you.

When you are an attacker and left backs are getting in before you. It’s not looking good. This was before the sending off. I really don’t think kid has long term future here. He will get a loan in the summer and if he does well will be sold

This is just sensationalist fan fiction loooool

He has gotten a lot of game time for a 17 year old. This season has been amazing for his development. He will firmly be in the plans for next season

The amount that Yamal is playing is dangerous for his future.
I know, but the point he was making regarding Nwaneri doesn't really hold any water, because the kid has barely featured in the last month and if he's not getting any game time when we're so short in attack, he's mostly going to ride the bench next season if transfers come in.

I'd guess that Arteta sees him as a RW at the moment and with Saka back his game time has been limited because of that. When Saka's fit he pretty much plays all the time.

I got plenty of flack for saying I don’t think he has long term future with Arteta. He just don’t have clue how to nurture and trust a talent like this who’s not defensive or out and out clear position
I worry about this.

Ethan’s shooting ability (at such a young age as well is rare) even compared to some of the best young talents out there. He has potential to be an absolute game breaker if developed correctly but he doesn’t fit into one of the slots in Arteta’s system.

We’ve seen that Mikel doesn’t adapt to players, the players have to adapt to the system or they get discarded. What this means for Ethan I don’t know…

That’s my fear as well. If Nwaneri want to become a starter under Arteta he simply can’t become the player we hope he becomes. I think he actually has changed even during the season becoming a lot more predictable in his play. So he’s definitely trying. In the end the longer he tries to become something he’s not, the less impact he will have on the team and the more we the fans will want to sign someone unpredictable

In the end I fear his natural unpredictability will not be worked on and he will be shipped off for not being creative enough. It’s a horrible position for a talent like this to be coached by someone like Arteta

I think Ethan's performance at Old Trafford spooked Arteta a bit. He's been removed at half time a couple of times since and Arteta never makes half time subs unless he has to.

Ethan's accustomed to being the best player on the pitch every time he plays, so he's always been forgiven for roaming due to the moments of magic he's produced. Arteta doesn't function like that. He always bangs on about earning the right to play, and what he means by that is being flawless with the basics.

Being aware of your position in relation to your teammates, knowing where to be in transitions, releasing the ball at the right time etc. He's still too raw and spontaneous for our coach's liking.

It took Nwaneri and MLS almost 18 months of training with the first team before Arteta even trusted them with a sub appearance. You can see the benefits of that work now with Myles but Ethan will need to be a bit more patient. He doesn't have the same "get out of jail" physicality as his mate.

I just worry that as soon as Havertz, Jesus, and whichever new forwards we bring in are available, Ethan will be further shoved down the pecking order simply because of his inexperience - even though we've all seen what he's capable of.

We want to turn those wasteful shots into productive crosses for him to be a proper Artetaball player
