Sorry I can't agree with this at all. You're making Rooney out to be like he was some bvm. Jude is obviously great but he's not this class above you're painting him out to be.

Rooney was a great player but overrated. I put Scholes in the bracket as well.

Definitely can see either Saka or Ethan playing in the 8. I wouldn't want to see Salam on the LW. I think troassars would be good as our technical wise forward with Saka on the inside.

Theres a tonne of potential there, but we have to try to fit our most dangerous players in the first team and make it work.

Jude has already equaled his number of CL’s, has eclipsed him in terms of international knock out performances. The leagues will also come for him.

Jude will retire as the most consequential England player since the 60’s for me.

Rooney was obviously great but never really led a team to the top. He’s quite overrated imo.

Like Ceballos? All that proves is he's played in a good team. I don't see Bellingham as close to Rooney talent wise

Yep, he was very washed into his 30’s.

People will say this is because he played so much as a kid, which probably played a part, but the bloke was also a pisshead.

Yeah it’s says a lot his best England performance in a tournament came as a teenager

Rooney was world class as well. But people talk about him as one of the greatest European players ever. He just wasn’t that for me.

Yeah maybe not, there's been a lot of great players. I'd still have him as the best English player I've seen along with Scholes and Ashley Cole. Shame they're all ****s right enough.

This is nostalgia talking. Jude’s been arguably Real Madrids best player since he’s joined at the age of 19. Key player in a title win which Rooney never accomplished.
Rooney was the better player (at this stage in their careers anyway) but Jude may end up with the better career (playing for Real for 5-10 years will do that) while still being a top player.

Jude may actually win something with England as well so when all is said and done I could see Jude > Rooney being a thing.

No-one who actually watched Rooney play as a youngster couldn't fail to rate him.

I hated the guy ever since he scored that goal against us at 16.

But he's in the running for best ever player at 16-18. He was a freak. Guy was making a mockery of Zidane at Euro 2004 as an 18 year old FFS.

I'm pretty sure even Fergie said he was a better talent than C. Ronaldo.

Never looked after himself though and he was an idiot.

He isn't really for anyone. Most of the people outside Premier League have forgotten who Rooney is. The guy won 1 Champions League title and wasn't ever considered as a candidate for winning Ballon d'Or and he never won anything with England. I put him in same category as Kane, only difference is that Rooney won more because he played for a better team. On top of that the guy was ugly as f*ck and always looked like a bum who just stepped out of a pub. You can't brand that ugly mug. If you ask Chat GPT to draw a face that would resemble Brexit - this ugly fu*ker would come up. One of those rare people who was uglier looking even after fixing the hairline.

Definitely. He became a world class player and had a hell of a career but the beginning had you feeling potential GOAT territory.

I feel like Yamal will clear him though with one more year under his belt. Never seen anyone so advanced at that age.

Arsenal Quotes

I knew we were very different, that he (Ferguson) had a total hold over his club while at that time I was still more of a coach. I also recognised his huge qualities. He knew how to surround himself with the right people and didn't rest on his laurels when he was successful.
