I wanna break someone's teeth....
Looked up this guy. He's 76. You'd hope at 76 you'd be past just making stuff up. But he's an Italian journalist reporting on am English player going to a German club so seems iffy.....

We will sell him for around 30m lolLeipzig better prepare to give us 60M euros they getting 120M from Diomande so let hope they don't pretend to be broke
we really need to take advantage of how talented Ethan and young he is we should get 50M or more the market is so inflated too.We will sell him for around 30m lol
He is good but not at the level people were claiming during the run of games he got. He is certainly not like nelson, championship eddie etc who were treated like children here whilst mostly being uselessIs he actually good or is this just Hale End sentiment?
He’s good, but he’s a young player that needs playing to fully reach his potentialIs he actually good or is this just Hale End sentiment?
Don’t think he’s ever performed at a higher level than Nelson or Nketiah. Nowhere near the level of Saka, MLS or even Smith-Rowe.He is good but not at the level people were claiming during the run of games he got. 40m with 70m buyback. 40m pure profit in the books and if he turns class, 30m is reasonable development cost.Leipzig better prepare to give us 60M euros they getting 120M from Diomande so let hope they don't pretend to be broke
Sort of feel that a decent sell on clause is more useful than a buy back clause...Don't know if it's legit or not but the "determined to retain long-term control" part is important. I think if we do let Ethan go, it should be a loan or a sale with a buy-back option. It can't be a regular sale.

The buying club will surely demand the "buy back" to be twice the price they pay, and you take a hit on the value of the player as well as limiting which clubs will want to do a deal on those terms. If he doesn't kick on you get nothing extra from the buy back. The player still has to want to come back to club or the clause is useless. It limits the ceiling price of the player, but could also inflate the price to become "Player X has a £100m buy back so we won't sell for less".
A 25% sell on clause is more useful all round. If the player kicks on and reaches a level where Arsenal want him back, you have an effective 25% discount on his market price to other clubs, giving great leverage in any deal. If he doesn't kick on you likely benefit from market inflation on any sale anyway. Look at Lyon and the Bruno deal.
We can do both. Ethan is 70-80m if sold in the PL. Selling him to someone like Leipzig for 50m and telling them 90m buy back and 30% on profit over 50m. They take it knowing they're getting an undervalued asset that will elevate their first team and will earn them profit in 2-3 years
This guy gets it. ESR vibe.Is he actually good or is this just Hale End sentiment?
