Kanes defensive work and dropping back a frustrating amount might actually be OK vs Spain.

Back to back European finals for Dec, whist never having a proper midfield partner. People need to stop looking at what he can’t do, and start looking what he can do.

Because the things he excels at, he’s one of the best of all time.

Physical strikers can have their way with Cucurella. White and Havertz have both made him look like boy, expecting Kane to drift and win a fair few headers there.

Southgate won't change the line up.

Kane starts, Watkins / Toney coming on later if we need a goal.

Congratulations to all the teams who have current players in the England team.

I am talking to you Madrid, Bayern, Arsenal, United, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, Villa, Everton, West Ham and yes even Crystal Palace (who have the most representatives somehow lol)

Tottenham though...

Risky to be doing the above in a final. If Spain get a goal in the first half and England think it’ll be the same by throwing on Watkins/Toney in the last 20 mins then they’ll be in for surprise as Spain are much better in possession than the other sides and they’ll take the sting out of the game, roll around on the floor etc.

England can definitely win but a big call has to be made by benching Kane. Southgate should not care how he feels or what the media say as the balance of the team should come before keeping any individuals happy.

Midfield battle will be key. I’m pretty confident Rice can take out Olmo but Rodri will just keep ghosting past Bellingham and that little pikey. OOP Bellingham needs to stick to him like glue or we’re done.

How can anyone support Rodri and Cucu winning something at the expense of Rice and Saka...

Spain are going to dominate MF and the ball, England's only hope will be to punish them on transitions but that actually requires having direct runners (Watkins).

Back to back finals and people still acting like they're bad. Went out to France in the WC as well, after being the better team

Tbf England were an overrated side for a long time, especially at home.

I think many just struggle to accept that changed a few years back.

Arguably England are producing the best young talent in the world and have been for a few years.

Kane will start but he should be hooked by 55-60 minutes

I don't like the guy obviously but I'd still back him to turn up in a final ahead of Watkins or Toney. He's a much better goalscorer than either of them when he's fit and on form.

If it's not working you take him off after an hour as you say.

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal are the most beautiful club in England. At Man City and Chelsea, they will never have that class and style.
