He hasn't really replaced Rice though tbf, the "direct" replacement is Alvarez.
We have done well replacing him in terms of squad building though, that's for sure. The first time in a while where our summer business has been so universally praised, and I can't really point to any flaws either. Sure we're light at CF but it's an expensive position to replace and there's a lack of clear upgrades in the market.
Still early days though. I have some doubts about this way of playing being sustainable, but you can't argue with the results.
