I'm getting increasingly a feeling Kroenke is going to actually sell in the summer (or before)

I don't exactly know why, but more so than with the Glazers or Liverpool's owner its just the end of the road, cut your losses kind of situation.

Probably just some random thought I have though.
Let's face it, ESL has been planned behind the scenes for a couple of years now. Kroenke clearly planned for something like this happening, so he bought out Usmanov which allowed him to operate in secret. How much of this big windfall would actually go to the club? Enough to maybe cover costs, but you can guarantee Stan would take the rest. Now his cash cow is gone and the side are getting progressively worse, there is a good chance he'll lose any remaining interest in us.

He means the profitability of these clubs is in danger. That's it. These clubs should not be guaranteed to make massive profits though.

Maybe player salaries need to come down. Maybe super agents need to be eliminated. Maybe it all needs to crumble and be rebuilt differently. But these guys aren't entitled to making massive $$.

The right thing to do would be to:
- haunt out all the owners
- have all players get capped at like 10m max
- get super agents out forever
- stop the Katar WM

All never gonna happen.

I thought there was some master plan behind all this. Like after all these years, they had the consequences figured out and were prepared. But no. All they got was a free destruction of relations with the fans and nationwide humiliation. Really baffles me how they just went in not expecting all this backlash? As if they expected British fans to sit back, drink some tea and behave like nice gentlemen lol whilst they got away with it.
I just can't believe that a bunch of billionaires could be so stupid and have such an oversight. These guys have the best researchers and PR people there is. Its not like they're just making all the decisions from their mansions and ranches.

Something tells me that this was a bit of a tester and they will come back with a reformed one in a few years.

I think it's a clear example of how these bigwigs live in a bubble. There's definitely a heavy dose of arrogance in it, too, with how they went about it without consulting the fans, the managers and the players at all. I mean, not disclosing such a radical change to any of the stakeholders prior would not be acceptable conduct in any business environment.

THIS! 💯

Genuine question why does UEFA exist? I get leaving the clubs to run things is a terrible idea but UEFA embody the worst excesses of capitalism.

Don’t know what the alternative is but they’re sickening.

The leagues doing it together in gatherings seemingly really would cover all what I've seen UEFA produce noteworthy

Chelsea fans are the worst mate. Worse than Tottenham for me.

I remember having a similar experience not too long ago in regards to losing faith in footy and I think you were surprised when I mentioned. Now you see, its all pointlessly soulless shiyte. Its like an addiction though, so hard to give it up, making me cynical about everything.

Watching 20 seconds of anything on skysports makes me feel sick. SkySports, Chelsea & City apparently saving football with G.Nev as mascot.

What makes it worse though is that many people lap that **** up like its gospel. Straight up sad.
I have actually had this attitude towards humanity for a long time  the world is full of sheeps who are drip fed their knowledge. They don't think for themselves (outside the box) and say things which may somewhat go against the grain. Its crap, sometimes I watch Sky or listen to pundits and I just want to come on air and destroy these idiots with one sentence. So biased towards the clubs like Chelsea and City because those clubs technically brought greater competition from a broadcasting point of view. But yeah the media only care about things effecting football when it effects their pockets. I'm not surprised though, almost every single club who have spoken out about this stuff would have joined this league if they were privately owned. Its all situational and about who is where, people don't seem to realise decisions/events happen due to a product of the environment they're in.

I haven't listened to Neville/Carra today but they've been way too emotional and pointed fingers to the wrong people. Neville was essentially insulting the club the other day, rather than picking on the owners solely. And then yday he and Carra go on about their club's owners and seemingly miss out on the worst owner in the league (in terms of sucking the ****ing life out the club), so **** them. They should have brought even more awareness + pressure
onto Kroenke. But when this all blows over we are going back to the way it was. Chelsea and City get to buy the league and the historic classy clubs with a lot of tradition lose out due to governing bodies' incompetence for letting football get to this. I wish we could go back in time and do the 50+1, its basically impossible to do now surely, considering the value of these clubs.

My manager.

Actually, while I don't have much sympathy for UEFA, Conte is proving to be a complete idiot and is simply lying his teeth out. The reality is that most of the CL money goes back to the clubs and to the associations in general. The big 12 just wanted to get a larger part of the pie if not all of it with their SL scam. Beyond that, Conte is talking about meritocratic, the SL project is everything but meritocratic. At least there is some semblance of meritocracy in the current European competitions.
UEFA is by no means perfect, but their current scheme is so much better for small countries, clubs and associations that this massive joke these guys were trying to pull out.
The only reason that all ECA clubs members totally opposed the project as well as all the UEFA associations. They knew what they could lose if that venture would happen. **** Conte. That tool is basically gaslighting people...... No surprise him and Pirlo are defending this joke though.

I think he's tryna say that they proportionally don't get enough back in relation to the revenue they bring in for UEFA given their stature. For example, its impossible to calculate but Barcelona pay Messi a **** tonne of money and he brings so much revenue to the corporation. I think they are frustrated that it is then redistributed in a more socialist manner. They are greedy but they also have a point too, they obviously took this opinion to the logical and moral extreme with the Super League though.

That is the thing, people sometimes tend to believe because these guys are billionaires they are also the smartest. This is often not the case. They live in a bubble and are simply not that smart either, no too mention being arrogant. Those clowns could not have ****ed up this venture more if they had tried.
Flo Perez is the perfect example.....His train wreck of an interview Monday night was evidence that these guys are totally clueless and way over their head.
