Once the dust settles is it a bad thing?

The same teams usually qualify for the CL regardless. Maybe the odd different side once in a blue moon but they're never regulars. People are scared of change, I like the format personally especially with the PL staying.

The money is an insane incentive. However its the effect it does have on the leagues. There's no incentive to get top 4 anymore, what are you playing for exactly? It's highly dependent on how the other 5 places are decided.

It could be done very well and be successful. But on the flip side there's the money factor, which is clearly playing a brutally grim role.

What with players wages, empty stadiums and the potential of no CL next season for a lot of the sides in this thing, I can totally understand why these owners have agreed to it. They've been losing money left and right since Covid started. This is just them getting their money back.

In the last 20 or so years fans have mattered less and less to these clubs. How much have fans paid for season tickets this season or for expensive television subscriptions when money has been tight for everyone only for it to be revealed that this entire season is a sham. Disgusting news.

We've just been excluded from the premier league, dude.

There's a lot of dust to settle.
