I'm not sure if Toronto FC will let De Rosario go. He literally carries the team and considering they finished mid-table last season you can only imagine what would happen if they let him go. And while it's not only up to the team, I get the feeling that De Rosario likes being the big boy on the team considering he's 32 and has been playing in an awful league his whole life.

I saw the ESPN interview Hleb did, and it's pretty sad on several of levels. Sad because of his regrets, sad that he wants to come back - but he mnessed up. And sad cos I can't help think about what could have been -for him and us - had he (and Flamini) stayed put.

S'one of the weird 'what if's' of life. It seems Hleb - like some of us - thinks alot of the past and what what could have been.

Dennis Bergkamp has been made the youth team boss at Ajax, it's a pity we could not find a role like that for him at Arsenal.

Adebayor getting some more amusing attention:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12123979" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12123979</a>" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Smugglers also tried to conceal cannabis worth almost £3,000 in a painting of Manchester City footballer Emmanuel Adebayor.

The wooden framed picture was seized by border officials as it passed through the international postal hub in Coventry, having been sent from the footballer's native Togo.

Thought I’d give this a bump for Eduardo, doing a good job for Shakhtar Donetsk, slotted home their third the other night against Roma…

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/eduardo-silva-roma-8709035/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodispl ... a-8709035/</a>" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

23 games 10 goals if wiki is to be believed 4 of which have come in the champions league, nearly back to one in two goal-rate for Donetsk.

I'd really like to know what he was talking about. Seems insightful.

Anyone knows how Merida is doing in Spain? Many of us were worried that he might become a world beater there.
Checked his stats and he has played in 24 games (14 in league). Ain't too bad, still a lot of hope for him?

Oh wow, absolute class! That second video (or maybe third) at the end, absolute QUALITY movement.

Apparently Eduardo is doing well with Shaktar? I know we didn't have enough room for him, and it's easy to say now at the end of the season that he really could not have played many games, but I felt he was a great player for us, and I liked his style.
