Ok - "made him" is an exaggeration.
He played his best football alongside Cesc and Rosicky.
They were superb together those three.

He never came anywhere near reaching that level anywhere else, which leads me to think he needed the support of team mates who were in tune with him and whose game suited his strengths - his technique, creativity, passing.

Which leads me to think that maybe playing with Cesc and Rosicky brought out the best in him?

Just one possible explanation for his post Arsenal decline.

Adebayor was told not to bother showing up for their pre-season tour, and he ain't happy about it:

"This is very hurtful and insulting and says a lot about Manchester City. On the one hand they want to become the biggest, most successful club in the world, yet the people who run the club are not acting in that way at all.

"No one at City is man enough to speak to me face-to-face to explain. I just received an email from Brian Marwood's secretary, a lady at the club called Claire, telling me to report for training on July 9.

"But when I spoke to the other players, I found out the first team was leaving for the pre-season tour of the USA on July 8.

"So it's clear they don't want me here but no one even called. Brian Marwood just got his secretary to send me an email. And I heard this was the same with at least six other players".

In the scheme of things it meant little, but it is my favourite ever Henry goal. Bought the house down and i can watch it and listen to the commentary over and over again.

I miss players like Thierry. There is no one in our current squad with half the charisma that he had. Everyone feel in love with him and no one will ever match what he did for this club.

Tbf, you can watch alot of other old clips and have those feelings as well. Can't believe we had 4 out and out striker at that point of time in the match and Henry is the one to get on the end of that brilliant Eboue cross.

Love the RVP goal before that as well, especially when Henry shouts into Neville's face running past him.
