Didn't if you guys heard but today Samir Nasri announced his retirement at age of 34. What a downfall it been the day he left us.

Greed killed his career

He had everything. He was my favorite player those days, apart from RvP.

Apart from Özil and Cazorla, probably the best CAM we had ever had.

No chance. He was all but cooked when he left us and secured a 400k a week bag.

That last contract will secure his future descendants for generations.

Saw Kevin Campbell saying we should bring him back...absolutely not, his pre 2018 form is a long time ago.

Maybe from a legacy point of view, he might regret it?

If he stayed at Arsenal, or went to a foreign club, he would have been much more beloved here...the failed move to City after Lemar turned us down, pretty much ended Sanchez' career, done nothing since really...think it was the same day that Ospina knocked him out of the World Cup too

If he had stayed we probably don’t get Auba. Alexis and Özil would have been called the chuckle brothers and the club would probably get relegated with them eating up 50% of our wages

No chance he’s retiring as a beloved Gunner in that scenario haha.

Is getting relegated, really worse than being managed by Arteta though?

Leaning 60/40 to the Championship, tbh.

Seriously though, if we kept Sanchez, I think we win the Europa in 2018.

Even though he was on the way down, would have backed him to come up big in that Atletico game...which we weren't even allowed to play Pierre in, ffs.

thing is we don't really know how much his loss of form in 2017/8 was down to his wanting to move on, and losing out on the move to City, or a physical decline

just as his poor form at United was maybe because that isn't where he wanted to be

I'm not convinced he believed then, nor now, that the money made it all worthwhile

The way he talked, he wanted to be the best he can be and win as much as possible.

I'd even go as far as to say his loss of form coincided with him not being happy at the club.
