He only has two years left on his current deal? 40M is would be fair unless Villa are happy to watch him see it out, but think it'll get done around 50M.

The gap is too much like 20M unsure how this will happen. Either Arsenal pay up or villa lower the price to like 50M so things can proceed Konsa not pushing for move has two years left so villa won't be panicking

What you hearing?
Alot of villa fans predict this will happen because they selling most thier veterans Digne Tielemans Rogers( not veteran but he heen key player) and now Watkins seem about to leave to Al-Hilal so eventually Konsa will leave just about the fee it remains

This will happen

For your sake i hope this prediction comes true, otherwise i won't have any other choice but to use my deadliest weapon

No matter what people say or want to believe, Konsa is not worth only £30m in this market. It’s in fact a bit of an insult from Berta to bid that.

I get he’s not a £60m man but unfortunately in today’s Premier League if you want to sign an English international CB who is part of the furniture for a CL team, you’re kinda crazy to expect anything less than the £45m mark, and it’ll probably higher.

I think people seem to forget this isn’t Career Mode, you don’t just approach to sign a player, pay fair value for them plus or minus 5%, and secure him. We are trying to take this teams starting CB.
We are trying to buy a back up, it's clearly crazy to pay premium for a back up.
Villa has the right to put a high price on their starting CB but we have to the right to lowball our offers
(I mean, for decades that's how we lose our starters)

One thing I don't like is how protracted this deal is, if the price doesn't match our valuation that much, walk away
Maybe we already walked away months ago, but it's only the media trying to get clicks

£50 mill is crazy bad in this market. Makes sense to go with an experienced premier league proven player too as Salmon looks a talent so no need to get in a young guy in this situation.

That's the problem with Konsa, he's too good to be backup yet not good enough that we should be comfortable with him being a starter. So spending a large amount of money on him seems like a decision that can backfire easily.

Sounds like the perfect type of player. He'll be aware he's not first choice but still wants to join to be apart of it. Doubt he forces a move or moans as he's coming in knowing the situation.

Anyway, with the amount of injuries we get I'm sure he'll play loads.
