We are an injury away from playing midfielders in defence so I’d argue it is still a priority signing. Will be very disappointing not to sign an attacker but at least we are still stacked in midfield and defence going into the season.

Both are unavailable and realistically have a significant chance of reinjury. Ben White is also really injury prone. With Konsa we have the luxury of easing these guys back in slowly and managing their minutes without a huge drop off in quality.

Pep signed like 5 players for £40-50m 10 years ago in one season when the market wasn't anywhere close to this level, on much higher wages relative to the rest of the league as well.
