Coutinho gets slagged off on here but I'd rather him then Özil, he's a fantastic player. Carries a bigger goal scoring threat and better with free kicks.

He been really great where he was hiding afew seasons ago?

He's been on loan in and around the Championship until age 22/23. Doing fairly well too in forward positions but under Van Gaal, he was used as a winger and even a wing back in a 3-5-2 because he's got bags of stamina.

Really flourishing with a positional change under Mourinho, have seen signs from the last few seasons that behind the striker was his best position. With Lingard his overall game has never been in doubt, he's got great acceleration, link up play with teammates, work-rate and an eye for a pass but the only question he's had is his finishing. Even on his good days of finishing there'd always be a questionable sitter that he misses. Sort of reminds me of Mourinho's English version of Oscar. But he's really sharpening that aspect of his game, whether it's a purple patch ala Ramsey or an improvement, time will tell.

At this rate, good chance he competes with Dele Alli for that starting spot for England.
