F1 has generally lacked serious competition though. Its history has been filled with different teams dominating because of them being better at manufacturing a car that matches the regulations.

I know they are. And that's the very same reason why we as a club need to fear our noisy neighbours. The thing is though, even with all that growth, they aren't making that much money and as long as player costs keep rising, they'll have to keep signing the crazy sponsorships with their 'friends' to keep them at the top.
