Gary Neville saying this is the worst Utd side ever
Very Bad EbeningImagine how I felt in Baku.
Bunch of flipping Azerbaijanis laughing at me in the street…![]()
I understand you now. I do think that he needs oversight before another player is purchased. I really don't want this left to him alone and I especially dont want him to pick Edu's replacement and get cosy. Tbh, I don't think he's good enough and I've never really felt that he is. The flaws are still there and impactful. There isn't a sea of great managers out there but we should be looking at every facet of the playing structure.Totally agree, but you said he shouldn't be allowed to buy more players. What's the point of that? Guarantees failure.
If you think he's not good enough then advocate for him to be fired, I respect that.
Not sure about Ayto but don't trust Arteta with signings. They need to bin him in the summer. If I was Kroenke I would take responsibility of signing of him.
I would tell Jason Ayto you are responsible for the signings and 100% fall on your head. But they have to make signings
That's a fair point.Yes but also I don't think he got given an unlimited budget and a DoF who did exactly what he was told, so he can't be given 100% of the responsibility.
The Havertz one is the big one though. He was super expensive and clearly an Arteta player - multiple positions and tall. Only problem is he's not quite good enough.
You have a floor? It’s just a mattress on the floor.
We tried for Sesko but he decided not to come.
You may be correct.Yes but Sesko was still a cut price option who might have turned out to be good enough if he kept developing well. The fact that we haven't seen serious links with the really top strikers implies to me that there's not that much money available and the owners are happy with being top 4 and CL regulars and hoping to get lucky one season for a title.
You may be correct.
The owners perhaps are likely happy enough with top 4 & balancing the books.
However I doubt Arteta will be.
I'm not sure who the top strikers are tbh.
Outside Isak imo it's pretty meh or there are questions against them.
Not saying we can't find a serviceable option btw but it's a tough market.

Mikel coached a 3-0. These players just couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo these days
If its true he is second highest paid manager in world football (heard that online without any evidence) then possibly that becomes the requirement - a bit like Wenger. It would be wild if thats how Arteta ended up as it doesnt seem like him.You may be correct.

yeah, it was obviousOur players determined to go out. We not winning on penalties our players will be extremely nervous
Wage demands are ridicolous, particualrly factoring in injury record? Nico Williams wage demands are supposedly ridicolous also.Osimhen still banging them in Turkish style - did everyone go cold on him for a reason?
He actually coached various. United had very little all game. But when they got red and we scored within a minute. He really should have gone for the winAnd is a good excuse until it’s happening game and in game out (even last season). Time to get someone who can hit that door.

Instead he made 1 sub until stoppage time. Rice for merino. So he had a back 4 and Jorginho and Rice against a team who were packed in their half
He should have brought in Rice, Trossard and Butler 70th min and gone back 3 and just really tried to win the game. His cowardice cost him another game
Losing to this united team should be a sackable offence
This is worse than I remembered. This was always our Cup..
