Gary Neville saying this is the worst Utd side ever

I am fine we are out of FA Cup. We with Jesus and Saka out, Ben White Out till Jan end, and other injuries will not be able to manage 4 competitions. Our squad needs more players to handle this. I am upset about losing to Newcastle, which was bad, but United out is something i am fine with. I want us to win the Premier League, and the only way we win is by playing EPL matches with a week's rest. and the best way to do is by being out of these cups.

You've completely missed my point which is that all the players on the pitch today were kept or purchased by him. How on earth can he keep a straight face and ask Josh for even more money when only 6/24 players he's signed are attackers and none of them top players? Lol at him not being allowed to buy players. The irony. As Farzad says, he can't rate his own players and doesn't realise his mistake until he's 70m in the hole. How on earth anyone thought Havertz was a player to lead the line for any club with aspirations of a PL title is beyond me. Loving his players won't make them better at tap ins either. He's out of excuses.
The same face Guardiola makes when he invests in Marmoush after spending 100 million on Grealish, 60 on Doku etc. And same face he is making when after buying Gvadriol for 80 million, he is buying two more defenders for close 90 million. Every coach needs to buy because tactics evolve and players will have to be upgraded. That is the nature of the game. Especially in EPL. That is why we bought Havertz and Rice and Raya after we were second in 2022-23 season. So that we can move forward. And finally please show me a coach who has only successful buys. and also what is a successful buy? to me if the player is trusted by the coach to play regularly, then it is a successful buy.

Havertz is trusted by the coach to play regularly, given £300K a week, our highest paid player. Successful buy?
Yes, and what makes you think he is not? Did we not improve last year after buying him? Is he not our top scorer in EPL this season?
He has his faults but he is not a failure by any means. He is out of form, but in run in last year and early part of this season he was in great form. When we buy that CF, Havertz will go back to the midfield role that he started with. But till then he will fill in as a CF.

If you want to criticize Arteta for his buys you can look at Fabio Vieira or Willian who are real failures.

Right now that the pain and sadness has become pure anger, let's talk about this game...how the fu3k did we lose here 🤬

When Pool beat us last season at this stage, I thought that was totally embarrassing...no Salah, no Van Dijk and even by the end Klopp was like... "This CANNOT go to a replay, I am putting some kids on and going more attacking so someone wins this tie"...and of course we lose the tie, by an own goal!

But this game here takes the cake in how the players and management have let the fans down, imo.

Make no mistake, United had us after Bruno scored...we were rattled, we were out of form and we were doing fu3k all at that point... convinced if it stayed 11 v 11, United would 100% have caught us on the break for the second to kill the game.

Then Dalot gave us a massive lifeline, with a completely dumb tackle to get himself sent off...then nevermind a lifeline, the ref threw us a literally lifeboat with that penalty...but or course, this brunch of losers still find a way to drown 😭

Arteta and the players have improved the team no doubt these past few years, but whenever we get to those moments in a season where these shades of greys don't matter, this team has ALWAYS let us down...and I am tired of it, tbh.

This is a take i can agree with. We are a nearly team so far under Arteta. We still need to take the next step to become the best team. Or we might lose a few and go back to our old self. One of these will happen. Let's find out at the end of the season. To me we can still win the league. And that starts on Wednesday when Pool take on NFO and we play Sp**s.
My hope is that we have not lost any more players from this game after playing for 120 mins

We used to say this under Wenger and ended up not winning anything.

Has any premier league winning side, besides maybe Leicester had a poor performance in the cups but won the league?

Fill in CF? Arteta has had nearly 800million and 6 years to get his own team and he’s still playing a makeshift CF. Criminal.

And yes he’s our leading goal scorer, but he doesn’t even make the top 10. Delap at Ipswich has scored more. Successful? lol. But but but set pieces.

And yet we are second in league. When you mention 6 years, you act as if this team was world beater and required only a CF. Till end of last season we had a number of gaps in the team which meant they were prioritized.

We scored 91 goals last season. Does not look like a team needing CF. However, this season we are struggling which means we might need one. I do not think it is Criminal. if we did not sign Rice, and we had signed a CF, you will be complaining about us neglecting Midfield.

And regarding Delap scoring more, yes he is the only one scoring for Ipswich. For us, the goals are distributed. We do not have a CF,that i can agree with. What we have is a set of players who can all contribute in the goal scoring side. That is how we were built.

I know how much you have supported Wenger, and if you are honest you could see this a much better team than any he had since 2004.

Look at Klopps Liverpool, the first trophy they won was the CL. In the season when they won PL and CL, they got knocked out of FA Cup and Caraboa in the 3rd round. In both the seasons. It took him 6 years(in his last 3 seasons), when he started doing well in domestic cups. It took him that long to build such a squad that can compete in all competitions.

Guardiola can build it in 2 seasons because he coaches Man City. Other clubs cant

Today I learned Robert Peston is an Arsenal fan
He speaks the truth tbh

I think last season was crushing for the players, mentally.

Then the game against City this season where they equalised in last moments, I think that was also pretty devastating. I think it took a lot of wind out of our sails tbh

Our play is so rigid & robotic. It's like they are going over drills from the training pitch in games sometimes because it's what they are told to do.

Don't get me started on the set pieces FFS

Arsenal Quotes

In June 1996, David Dein, Peter Hill-Wood and Danny Fiszman came out to Nagoya to meet me on behalf of Arsenal. Within an hour we came to an agreement. The Japanese directors didn't try to keep hold of me in the usual way but talked with persuasive arguments... But as far as I was concerned, the decision was taken. Arsenal. A decision that would change my life.
