I see no benefit in playing Nelson only as a wing back I'm the first team. He will never be a wingback, if he continues at Arsenal he will play some form of wide forward role requiring little defensive work. It screams of "I need to give him game time so I'll throw him in there".

Interesting line-up. Agree that Nelson should be further forward and yes, he might get annoyed eventually. But he's only 17. You'd hope even he'd acknowledge just playing in the team is achievement enough for now.

I see no benefit in going 5 at the back over your formation.

- Debuchy is a right back, not a CB.
- Holding playing in a CB 3 means he'll push forward and dictate play at times (as we see so often with Mustafi).
- Wenger seems to like AMN as a left back (choosing him over Kolasinac).
- Nelson playing his position.
- The inverted attacking midfielder roles behind the CF isn't suitable for Theo and Iwobi in any way comparable to how it is for Özil and Sanchez.

Wenger's thinking about the Carousel Cup like I said he would. He sees this team as being good enough to win today, which it is. He'd rather use first teamers for a Semi final against much harder opposition and he's quite right. If we lose today, then some of them starting can expect to have a dismal future here.
