When they sacked Lampard Chelsea were 9th (only 2 points ahead of us lol), 5 points off 4th and had 2 wins in their last 9 PL games. Now they're 5th, 1 point off 4th with a game in hand and 2 points off 3rd. Only 1 loss in their last 12 PL games with 7 wins. In a CL semi final and a FA Cup final.
Some people always question why Chelsea are "quick" to sack managers, but they've literally proven time and time again that it gets them results. Sacking Sarri for Lampard was probably they only wrong call they've made.
Agreed. If you need super specific and extremely expensive players for your "system" to work, then what exactly are you all about? A lot of managers (obviously not all) in world football could be successful if they signed exactly who they wanted.Pep's genius is solely down to spending loads of money, plus always managing the best teams.
As soon as he starts trying to think about winning a match himself (as opposed to just letting his talented players beat worse teams) he always bottles it...man's a terible manager, Arteta's gonna be a disaster trying to follow in his footsteps
They spent 250m of course Lampard deserve to be sacked it's big difference that Arteta and our clubWhen they sacked Lampard Chelsea were 9th (only 2 points ahead of us lol), 5 points off 4th and had 2 wins in their last 9 PL games. Ah yeah, I remember now. He wanted to be closer to his family so asked to leave.Sarri wasn't sacked, Juve paid them so he could leave.
I wasn't really comparing him to Arteta, just highlighting that the strategy of habitually sacking managers has proven to be immensely successful for Chelsea. People often cite them as a insult when it comes to sacking managers, "do you want us to be like Chelsea?" when in actuality it'd be brilliant as a fan. They spent 250m of course Lampard deserve to be sacked it's big difference that Arteta and our club
