howard is a non european national and needs a work permit. To have a work permit you have to have proof of your outstanding ability. (i am not slagging howard who i think has done very well). This is usually judged on the number of international appearances. Howard does not have enough international appearances and should not have been granted a work permit under present rules. I think portsmouth recently tried to buy some one foreign and were told no work permit because of not enough international appearances. This raised the whole Howard issue with the FA.

When we were about to sign him, then there were a few problems with the work permit(which delayed his transfer)..but later on he was granted the permit and all the paper work was done.and then this issue has popped up back again.

All I can say that it's got nothing to do with us so why worry about it? It's Manure's fault and there's no reason for us to get involved, because the Mancs on here will always try to blame us for it. Just let them worry about it because we did nothing wrong. 8)

funguson should come clean with his tranfers...instead of tappin the players,unsettling them etc etc.... will be a big lost if he loses howard...n then howard signs for us and become the understudy to MAD JENS..... :mrgreen:

Can't say I'm surprised, it's just the Alex Ferguson kind of thing. That dodgy scot just can't keep his hands in his pockets can he.

It would be typical if the FA actually let him play while he's under the probe, just like Drugginand.
