this bum will end up leaving on a dry loan and will be back next summer.

as i recall we bought him for around 30 million £. What are these guys smoking, no one will buy him for almost same ammount we bought him for.

Euros do not equal pounds, think we bought him for 38m Euros

He's got some good qualities but whoever pulled the trigger on this guy for the fee was paid got it totally wrong. He desperately needed another couple seasons in Portugal both to develop on the pitch and to develop mentally as well. Been an equally bad move for his career too.

Especially when you consider Vitinha moved for just 5m more from the same club in the same god damn window.

PSR Mania is in full force this summer.

Looking for change behind the sofa only for it to go towards Alejandro Garnyasho on loan during the last few days of the window.
What's really scary is this is a very, very realistic scenario   I'm not sure I enjoy Arsenal anymore

This guy is technically very talented so you have to look at his mentality for why he isn't better. Yes he isn't physical but he has the technique to do well in La Liga but no one's interested

Yeah, everyone talks about ‘physicality’ but there are loads of small players who have done well in the PL.

His problem is that he doesn’t run off the ball and doesn’t compete. Passive player who waits for the game to come to him rather than wanting the ball and wanting to make a difference. There were a couple matches where he came out like someone lit a firecracker under his ass and he looked like a totally different player but those were the exception and not the rule. Nice technical skills and ball striking ability but the definition of a player who ‘hides’.

Had some decent games at the start of 23/24 before his red card and injury. Should do ok in another league.

The club is so predictable these days. I remember joking on here about us signing Noni 6 months ago and it ended up happening 🤣 seems like Garnacho is holding out for a PL club competing in the CL.

Yeah I agree and most of that is mentality. Just like why Gabriel is such a threat in the box and Saliba is not. It's not a physical ability thing for the most part it's pure desire and willingness to get smashed in the pursuit of a goal

Garnacho would actually be it for me. Chelsea rejects bug me, but helping United out should be a sackable offense to everyone involved.
I share the sentiment, but right now it’s worse to help out Chelsea as they’re a closer rival to us. It’s unforgivable to sign Madueke for that sort of fee from them. I could probably accept the signing if it was from a middle club, but just as with Havertz we’re literally bailing them out helping them improve their team.

£15-20m would be fine.

At some point you've just got to cut your losses. He's got some talent but he's never really shown he's got the ability to make it at this level.

Of course we shouldn't accept a silly lowball offer but we have to be realistic about what we can demand too.

A manager is a guide. He takes a group of people and says: "With you I can make us a success; I can show you the way".
