Will he be fit enough to at least be on the bench tomorrow?

Be good to finally see him play.

It's good to see him training. Hopefully the injury is healed and he can get fit enough to play over the next four weeks.

Anticipation is much more important than strength. He’ll probably bulk up but he’s either good enough or he isn’t.
It depends on the type of game. If teams play like Palace hitting long diagonals to fast, physical forwards and play with 3 counter pressing CMs, he will get thrown about like a ragdoll.

Against passing teams like Chelsea though I think he’ll do very well.

Just don’t agree tbh, if he’s intelligent and chooses the right spaces and makes good decisions in the spaces then palace would be no problem. There have been dozens of diminutive, weak midfielders with out a great deal of pace that would dominate palace without breaking a sweat.

Again it depends completely on the context. In a well functioning system full of technically astute players with a high football IQ, you are correct because there’s a higher probability of that team dictating the game.

In a less cohesive team and a high intensity match with long passes, like the 2nd half at Sehurst Park, he’ll be competing for 2nd balls and find it as difficult as he did against Atletico for Porto.

He’ll do well in some games and less we’ll in others.
