That is a lot of debt but they make a ton of money and can pay that off. Or sell a couple players at worst. They have huge natural earning potential even after Messi and the Scandal with refs.
They don't make as much as they used to. Messi is no longer there and they dont go deep in the CL as much as they used to

They sold 25% of their TV rights plus they still have to pay off the stadium

Xavi should never consider back to Barcelona ever again. They treated him like a toy in last 6 month.

They’re on their way to a major dip I reckon. With all the financial issues, the complete mess they’re in when it comes to transfers and squad building. 35 y/o Lewa and 33 y/o Gündogan their best players.

At the same time they have enough academy talent between Cubarsi, Lamal and Guiu, not to mention Pedri and Gavi that they could really rebuild in a similar sense that we have.
I doubt it will happen though, too much prestige for Laporta and whoever will succeed him for them to plan long term.

They're something near $1.5 billion in debt and a little less than half of that has to be repaid in the next couple of years if I'm not mistaken. They have absolutely no chance of competing with Madrid and Girona may become a problem as the City owners are laying the foundation to cheat like City do. They're in big trouble even with the quality of La Masia.

Honestly though it would be so easy (relatively) to fix the club if they just had some common sense. They have the revenues and the best academy in the world.

Actually do they have the revenues? I can’t remember how many levers that ****wit pulled.

They have so much talent there, they could’ve easily done a rebuild by just focusing on players from their academy and they’d be back in a couple of years.

Instead they’ve digged themselves further into a hole and are going to be even further away from seriously competing for anything.

The thing is that I'm not sure they do. This article from a month ago is damning. Picture our Emirates Stadium debt in the early years but we've also breached domestic FFP rules and owe a bunch of players back wages from covid along with taking out multiple loans unrelated to the stadium that have horrible interest rates.
