Agree. If we were to sign someone they’d need to be significantly better than any of our current options. Not a lot of players that is, imo. Theo Hernandez the obvious one. Someone mentioned Colwill as our own Gvardiol which I kind of like, he could probably play similarly to White there. Then it’s maybe Davies or Mendy, but I’m not sold on either for the fees involved.
Kardioglu is in the same bracket as Grimaldo and Gutierrez from the little understanding I have. Good going forward and comfortable on the ball but a bit suspect defensively.

Can play LB or RB decent going forward offers a different profile. Good squad option think he could be the only defender we need.

I guess you could kinda say same at RB but White is good and Timber might be a more natural option there even Tomi? Interestingly we are tentatively linked to Mendy LB at Madrid today. Not sure if that is true but if so looks like we are seeking a different type.
We also don't know the convos behind the scenes. Kiwior or Zinny may be moving on? Even if not we only have 7 defenders. Timber just back from long term injury, Zinny & Tomi are injury prone.
We were blessed that Gabriel & Saliba thankfully were always available last term but White often had to play with an issue. Gabriel went down last game of the season so we know how easy it can happen as we saw when Saliba was injured the season b4.

KT & Nuno T I doubt will be returning.Perhaps 8 defenders are seen as needed if we want to take domestic cups seriously & you factor in injury history to some? We basically had to rely on 6 last season. We may look to rotate more at FB or even CB to keep players fresh & opponents guessing?
Who knows perhaps we could sell one & buy 2?
We are likely looking at players who can compete & offer us something a little different without breaking the bank.
Long summer ahead but you can see Arteta looking at ways to try to evolve the team/squad.

Makes sense if we are looking to sell Zinny I guess. Arteta has to win a title next season and relying on Timber and Tomi for LB would be super high risk
