Promising career ruined by injuries, arrogance and some ridiculous off-field decisions. Would have said absolutely yes three years ago, but today, even if this is slightly true, that 22m could be better spent elsewhere.

We should have signed him in 2006, but to be honest he has regressed since then. And the hilarious part is he will cost twice as much as he would have 5 years ago and be on astronomical wages.

Exactly, and whilst there is ANY chance that Ryo will get a work permit we'll not be signing ANYONE that would kill his playing opportunities to develop.
